The service staff is attentive and friendly. They explain your menu options. The chefs cooked great meals for use. The pork medallions meal my wife. I tried the medallions, and they were butter soft. I had the grilled fish. On our visit, it was tuna and cooked to perfection. It had tomato, olive vinaigrette topping. It complimented the tuna quite well. The tuna was overcooked, yet was fork tender. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Risotto & Pasta
Raja was my waiter tonight and was really nice and professional. The food is good and in abondance. You will be full after having the menu. The bad point is the kids using tablets with cartoons and sound on, making it annoying for other customers who would like to listen to the restaurant music. Relaxing Italian dinner near the sea. Really nice food with Italian flavour. Big choice and good quality The crew was nice and helping with the meal choice. Special thanks to Ena, Sujan, Thilini, Salitha and Dijo. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €35–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
You should try your best to get here if you stay at DB seabank. Otherwise might be a bit expensive, but probably reasonably priced considering the location. Quality red wine, 4 course meal (main course was particularly great) and very friendly service from Sujan, Mina and Ena, thank you guys! Proper restaurant experience, which was rather surprising for all inclusive hotel. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We chose this place to treat our parents for their wedding anniversary. We knew they offered some vegan options, and that the restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible, and it caters for children. On paper it checked all boxes, and additionally was a new place to try out. Every time we went swimming, we’d pass by the sign and therefore we’ve been wanting to try it. Cut to the chase, we were pretty disappointed. After what I thought to be a long wait for our food to arrive especially when it seemed like a very slow business day for them, the cracks in the perceived high standard, began to show. First, my 8-year-old nephew had to patiently wait for his vegan ortolana pizza to be remade as it came layered with non-vegan mozzarella cheese. We chose this pizza precisely because it is the only pizza explicitly marked as vegan. Good thing he is not lactose intolerant and that he realised (see picture). Next, still on the same pizza… the first ingredient for this pizza on the menu is pesto. For the first pizza we thought the pesto was hidden somewhere under the cheese, but the replacement pizza had no pesto either. So we might as well have said: “bring me A pizza”. What’s the point of the menu? Still on the pizza… and for me personally this is a big one. I can tolerate the previous two mistakes, but I cannot tolerate the next: a barrage of condescending excuses. We were hit with excuses like: “by default you should always assume pizza has cheese” and “vegan cheese is an option you need to specify”. Neither comments were true, nor did they even address the mistakes. This pizza was the only one which had no cheese mentioned in the ingredients, so we came to the logical conclusion that they veganised it by not putting any cheese. The pizza was marked as vegan, so there are no two ways about it. It should have been vegan and that’s it. An apology would be asking for a lot here in Malta, a refund would be just a pipe dream, but just do not insult my intelligence. Next; the vegan burgers. Keep in mind Salia’s slogan is “fresh Italian flavours”. Let’s put aside that none of the cooks or staff are even remotely Italian. The menu said the vegan burger entailed a soy and chickpea patty with firm tofu. We were served 2 beyond burger patties instead (see picture). Now, do not get me wrong, I find it hard to resist beyond burger, but the fact remains, it was not delivering on the freshness being conveyed by their slogan nor the ingredients on their menu. Beyond burgers do not contain soy, tofu, or chickpeas. Yet again… we ordered one thing, and got another. Dessert time. “Dessert?!”, I hear you say. After all these problems? Remember this was our parents’ anniversary. We got the vegan panna cotta. How can they get that wrong? Well if you’ve been following the pattern, you’ve probably guessed. Another long wait and we were served something which was not panna cotta: a dry cake-like dessert (see picture). Not sure what that was. I would not be surprised if It was not even vegan… and just wait for the kicker. When we said we will not pay for the non-panna cotta citing the fact that it was not panna cotta, the response was “we know, we are deducting that”. Thanks, but you knew?? At this point you may be thinking that this is just a vegan thing, but first of all my money has the same monetary value so I would expect the same quality of food. In fact we may have had the same quality as the non-vegans among us were not satisfied with the quality of food either. I do not get the 4-star rating of this place. Were we so unlucky? Or is their general clientele so accommodating? Is such a rating deserved when food, I observed, was often left sitting at the counter waiting for a waiter to pick it up. My chips for example were tepid. Would such a restaurant say fries come with a dip which turns out to be ketchup and mayo sachets, which if not used get thrown back in with the rest? I do not think that a restaurant which claims fresh and Italian, deserves this rating, or is this in keeping with “we offer one thing, but deliver another?” Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
