This is an amazing little beach restaurant in Guéréo and close to Somone. It’s on the beach and isolated but it is some of the best seafood in all of Senegal. Djibril is an amazing host and you can spend the day there eating, drinking and swimming. The grilled fish was melt in your mouth. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A gem of a beach restaurant. Incredible view, especially at sunset. Extremely hospitable and attentive staff. We had grilled fish with exquisite onion sauce and would go back any time. Make sure to call or drop by the restaurant the day before to order your fish/seafood. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were recommended this place by a taxi driver. We tried and it was amazing. Fresh fish, in front of the ocean with very friendly service. Super clean and calm. So we decided to come back again the following day and had an even better experience. We could even take a nap on their beach beds before heading out for a swim and walk back home. I have been twice to the beach North of the La Somone Lagune and have eaten in a number of restaurants during my stays. The Tortues Pondeuses is by far the best place to eat. It is calm and relaxed. You can stay the whole day on beds in the shade with sea view, if you so wish. It has splendid views of the sea and you can spend hours watching the birds dip in and out of the water. The fish is fresh catch from the night before and outstandingly prepared. Last but not least Djibril, the owner and chef, is a lovely man with a vision on top of many years of experience as a chef, having worked internationally. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

We shared a plate of barbecued fish, with chips and a delicious onion chutney and it was really excellent. Had a few bottles of Gazelle and Flag to make a very nice afternoon. The staff are very friendly and helpful, prices are very reasonable and it's quieter than up by the lagoon. Recommended. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice place off the Tourist Hotspot in the Lagune. Camped 50m away from the Restaurant and went here for lunch. Nice place with a nice owner. 👍😊 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Probably the best and most fresh fish we had in Senegal. The owner is really invested in making your experience the best. The restaurant is located on one of the corners of the bay. Amazing spot away from the touristic Lagune de Somone but still an easy 5-10 min walk on the beach. Grilled fish freshly caught was the best we had during our week in Senegal! Owner is extremely friendly as well and shares all info about the sea turtles that lay eggs around this beach. Definitely recommend 10/10! Very nice place. Fantastic with the sound of the waves and great food directly from the sea. The owner is super kind, and he's also the responsible for turtles' marine reserve.
