Best lunch spot in the area. Cash only, just be prepared and that's easy. Burritos are HUGE for $10, tacos are $2 a piece. Everything has a fresh taste. They have updated A LOT of the place. Yesterday they have new menus. The girl at the front is always nice to us. This isn't taco boy or taco bell. Do not expect ground beef hard tacos, try some stuff you have never had! Overall it was a good experience. The guy at the front counter taking the money needs to learn how to deal with customers. The server was great taking my order quick and bringing drinks and food out to me. The place is a little hidden it says really small place with the little bit of sitting area. The food was delicious no complaints there. I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the guy at the front counter

Bring CASH because no credit cards accepted.. Very authentic Mexican food. Small but cozy dining room with 5? Booths big enough for 4 people each. For me, when I see Mexican people eating there and very little English then that's the place for me. I have tried 3 other mexican themed restaurants here in Charleston and those didn't impress me. Las Lupitas does impress me. The only thing that keeps me from eating here everyday is not wanting to get a Troll status. I hope you enjoy this food as much as i do.

Authentic and delicious, not much parking or seating but would be worth the wait. Horchata was the best I’ve ever had, and cabeza tacos were perfect.

Warning: Cash only. But the food was phenomenal! My tacos came with this spicy yellow sauce that was absolutely amazing. Restaurant has huge menu of items that I really want to try but so far these three were good. They also gave me like half a gallon of Horchata. Now go do yourself a favor. Go to an ATM. Pull out some cash. IT IS WORTH IT.

This place was a true disaster!! I called ahead due to Xmas Eve. Spoke with a man who said they'd open at 10am...it was 9:25 when I called. I told him I wanted Pork Tamales, he said no problem, come on down. So I left for the 25 minute drive. I waited until just after 10am and knock on the door. A young woman with pinkish hair answered the door and said what do you want we are closed. I laughed and told her about the phone call I made and that's why I was there. She said you didn't call here. While in front of her I open my call log, showed her the number and then dialed. The phone behind her then rang and she picked it up as if not connecting that it was me who was calling. I laughed a little harder this time and then said it's literally me who is looking at you and who you were just talking to. She hung up the phone walked over and said we don't have pork. I laugh because I didn't see anything about pork yet, other than the phone call that I had made. Spoke with another lady who said they did have pork, she was dicing up hot dogs at this time, which was really confusing for a Mexican restaurant. I then went to the counter to the original woman who said you only want eight pork tamales, I said yes that is it. She told me how much it was which was insane, $38 and then she said we only accept cash for that. This time I laughed even louder and told them they are crazy and a hot mess. Walked out and will never be back. Service: 1
