The dishes here were very hit or miss, unfortunately most of what we got were misses.
Salad was not good at all, soup was standard set menu soup. Mains were alright, portion size was good but taste was average. Desserts was not good at all.
For the price, there is alot of better places in Yilan.
Compare with other restaurants around this area, this one is higher than standard.
But still, from decorations to design, from service to dishes, this restaurant is lower than my expectations from the price, which was $600 pet set (we got coupons for $388 a set but still unattractive)
There are good points and I'll mention them after my explanation for those drawbacks.
First, decorations. It looks like a high standard, but with cheap taste. And beautiful coastal views are their most attractive part but they somehow covered most of the windows with curtains. The sofa was extremely too low for enjoying a dish and the plates are as high as my chest. (Of course we changed seats)
Second, design. I'm Sick of the menu. Not only because it's from GOMAJI website and jpeg pictures and unsuccessful background erase skills and full of pictures without any points, But also has NO DESCRIPTIONS for any of their dishes but only a CREATIVE and misunderstanding names. The pictures are not related to their cuisine btw.
Third, service. Servers are careless and impolite and untrained.
Forth, dishes. We ordered medium-well steak but served with medium. My friend doesn't like raw meat so he could hardly ate it. The pumpkin soup wasnt thick enough. Caeser salad with only two cubes of bread inside (is bread too expensive for you guys?)
Good points?
1, there is a parking lot
2, good views
3, the top balcony is available for customers and it's a good spot to take pictures.
Ok food with reasonable price. NTD 388 for a set, comes with an appetizer, a salad, a soup with French bread stick, main course, drinks and dessert. There’s a minimum spending of NTD 120 per person. Unfriendly staff.
I wouldn't recommend it for the pizza (the dough was a bit undercooked and the flavor a bit bland), but the service was good and the outdoor patio was shaded and really comfortable.
The set is a good value and lots of food (soup, salad, pizza, dessert, and drink).
The only restaurant in the area that serves food all day. Free parking too. It says Italian but it is not the authentic kind. They have pizza and pasta that take liberty in their ingredients.
I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We saw that it was Italian but with average reviews. However, being late it was the only decent place for a meal and we gave it a try. We had a set menu and the Ceasar salad was refreshing and better than most places. The pumpkin soup with crab was actually delicious and I would have loved some more. My "risotto" with tomato and seafood was really amazing and I finished the entire bowl which was very generous in size. Desert was okay and part of the set meal. I was very happy with our discovery and this restaurant deserves more recognition in an area where the majority of food can be very average. I would be delighted to return!
