Let's write in English to spread the message. Tonka is a decent and calm bistro for those who really want to enjoy the difference. Excellent pastries and snacks based on fresh ingredients. Try the brunch that keeps you delighted for the whole day. Tonka offers tastes we haven't had so far in Dakar. Get the croquettes and you will be hooked to come again and again.

Little haven.... had an excellent coffee, with a delicious croissant. Appealing, quiet ambiance, friendly staff, and the menu looks interesting too. I'll be back.

I'd say that this small bakery restaurant is a real gem that the city of Dakar has kept as secret. Tonka provides the Plat du jour every evening at around 7,000 Fcfa. It ranges from Senegalese cuisines such as Yassa Poulet to a Korean vermicelle cusine, Japchae. This tiny restaurant should be proud, very proud of its quality foods and delicious dessert. The owner lady always welcome customers with a big smile.
