We had an amazing dinner out at La Mulberry. ‘Chicken Pasta’ was one of the most delicious pastas that I‘ve ever tried. From Pizzas, we tried ‘BBQ Chicken’ and ‘Peri Peri Chicken’ and those were pretty tasty as well. And ‘Chicken Rice Bowl’ was the perfect getaway for us from the regular fried rice that we have so often. ‘Orange & Mango’ along with ‘Passion Fruit & Mint’ fresh juices were the perfect combination to finish our amazing dinner. Nice place on a rooftop. We had pizza (pretty good!), a salad and a rice bowl. The latter was okay, the portions could be a bit bigger. Card payment is possible. Italian restaurant called La Mulberry, what a strange name. But pizza and pasta can be eaten here as the chicken lasagna and the BBQ chicken pizza we tried. Both were excellent. We ordered a steak and it was quit good. The meat was good baked but it was a bit chewy. You can not compare it with a good steak restaurant but the price was very cheap and the taste of the vegetables and mashed potatoes was also good. It was only 2300 rupees. The service was also good. Unfortunately they had almost no desserts. They have also 2 nice rooftop terraces , 4/5 tables each terrace. You can pay with credit card. Not sure how I missed this gem of a place for this long. Wonderful food and nice atmosphere. Recently I had a chicken burrito and it was great. We found this restaurant, hidden in a small alley, purely by accident and what a find! After a few weeks in Sri Lanka and a non-resort experience on the Maldives we were so happy with perfectly prepared food! We came back for the second night. We spoke to the cook, to thank him, and he told us that he had worked in Europe and Dubai - so he's got the experience :-) He wanted to improve the menu so now they also offer a lot of vegan and vegetarian dishes, very tasty. Value for money: No ( if you are ordering online) Yesterday we got 3 types of chicken pizzas from mulberry and they were watery and tasted so bad. Long story short we visited this place earlier and the food tasted good. My friend came from Aussie and we suggested that this is better than Pizza Hut. I was never that wrong. They may have changed the chef. All the 3 pizzas were super bad. So if you wanna eat from this place make sure you go to the place instead of ordering online.
