Everything was delicious: aguachiles (super-spicy); seared tuna; fried shrimp. Great selection of wines and beers.
And the service was superb: Adalberto, our waiter made our several dinners here special.

We started with the Tuna Sashimi, which was fresh and delicious. Next, I ordered the Arrachera steak which came with rice, sautéed chile verde with onions and guacamole. The steak was perfectly marinated and cooked to medium. My wife ordered the pulpo a las brasas (Grilled Octopus). The dish was served with grilled pineapple and white rice. She stated it was the best dish she has eaten in the 5 days we’ve been here. I highly recommend this place for dinner.

I had the pleasure of dining at La Marea in San Jose del Cabo this past weekend, and I must say it was the highlight of my recent trips to the area. This restaurant stands out as the best by far. On my way back from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas, I decided to make a stop, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of their food.
The culinary journey at La Marea was nothing short of delightful. From the oysters to the Japanese ceviche, tuna carpaccio, the aguachiles, and even the rib eye, every dish was a burst of flavor. My recommendation for fellow food enthusiasts is to order dishes to share; this way, you get to savor a bit of everything this gem has to offer.
The service at La Marea went above and beyond my expectations, adding to the overall fantastic experience. In fact, the experience was so outstanding that I couldn't resist returning the very next day. My wife and I made the drive from Cabo San Lucas just to indulge in another memorable dinner at La Marea, and I can confidently say that the journey was well worth it.
One of the standout features of La Marea is their unique offering of totoaba, which is expertly prepared in a Risotto. This dish is truly exceptional and unlike anything I've tasted before.
In conclusion, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in San Jose del Cabo, La Marea is the place to be. The impeccable food, exemplary service, and the opportunity to savor rare delicacies like totoaba in Risotto make it a must-visit destination for food lovers. You won't be disappointed!

The Seafood dish is really mediocre here.
We ordered Seafood Soup, fish taco, and Catch of the day.
The grilled fish is really tough and it's all the same type of fish in the soup and the taco. So I didn't see the point of getting "Catch of the day". You don't get your bang for the buck.
Soup is alright, pretty light tomato base and there were plenty of seafood in it. I wish there was more soup than seafood.
Fish taco is not as good as the ones I had in other restaurants. If I were the chef, I would not use this kind of fish for all dishes.
The staff took good health precautions. The ambiance was good but that was about it.
Would not recommend or return.
这家的鱼很难吃,不值这个价格,不会再来光顾。
Went for a late breakfast and oh man it did not disappoint. Amazing service and even better food. We wanted savory BUT we had to try the banana bread French toast. Boy did it not disappoint, so delicious. It wasn't overly sweet. Such a great little spot and beautiful location.
I can not say enough amazing things about the establishment! Just walking in the decor and ambiance is amazing! As has the smoked salmon for an appetizer! They have amazing soy based sauces!
For dinner we had the octopus and tuna! The presentation they put into there meals alone let’s you know they put a lot of effort into there meals. And the prices are a steal!
bad quality fish, bad service. The tuna tartare had a white film on the fish and when we said it wasn’t fresh they said they would take it off the check. They didn’t when the check arrived and also tried to charge us for a salad we never got. It wasn’t the staffs fault, the owner was rude and unapologetic.
Very good overall. I would recommend and return. Ate "tapas" style... a little of everything. Would suggest asking for not so spicy then add from the several spice bowls they bring. Generally everything a bit too salty... which is the reason for 4 stars. Tasty variety, hot fish taco, hot shrimp with hot cheese tacos, tuna tartar over avocad Large Sliding Windows when open give a nice feel. Far enough from the road minimizes the traffic noise. Clean updated looking restaurant. Som seating upstairs would be nice for a small group. Not very busy when I came and service was very attentive.
500 pesos = $29 plus tip was a very reasonable price.
Told they serve breakfast also.
