This restaurant has some of the freshest seafood! We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I had the Ceviche Bachiche and my husband had the one with the hot sauce (name?) The roasted corn they bring as a starter is amazing too. They have 3 sushi rolls and we were pleased with the one we chose. The servers were patient with our broken Spanish. This restaurant is far superior to Aqui esta Coco in our opinion as it's less pretentious and the quality is the same!

Without a doubt one of the best seafood restaurants in Santiago. The experience begins as you enter with a friendly and welcoming staff. The menu offers an extensive variety of fresh fish and seafood dishes, as well as first rate beef. The bar offers delicious signature and classic drinks. Overall, my experience in La Mar was a memorable one and I will return.

We tried La Mar in Lima, which is a wonderful experience. We decided to go to La mar again in Santiago, but this experience is far from ideal. The portion for whole fish is unacceptable. The whole fish we ordered is extremely overpriced. Two fish strips worth 60,000+ (~70 usd). I doubt they market it as “whole fish” and catch of the day but just present the guest with just half cutlet of this portion as the fish it self measures at least 12-15in with original weight of least 3lb.

They are busy even weekday lunch time.
Fortunately, we had a available table when we went, but we recommend to make a reservation. They have an English menu through QR code reading.

This restaurant surpassed all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the service was flawless. The waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and offered wonderful recommendations tailored to our tastes. The wine selection was divine, particularly the Vik A Cabernet Sauvignon I enjoyed. Every dish we ordered, from the prawns and scallops starter to the fish of the day with a delectable seafood selection and spicy red sauce accompanied by risotto rice, was exquisite. The churros dessert was the perfect finale. The quality and value of the food exceeded anything we've experienced in the UK. I indulged completely and found it hard to leave, already longing to return. Without a doubt, we'll be singing the praises of this restaurant to all our friends and family.
