One of the best fried seafood markets in LA. I always get the shrimp, oysters, & catfish with French fries and macaroni salad(which is surprisingly good). Also add the 3 for $1 tartar sauce, it’s really good!.. I personally did not care for the whiting or red snapper. Also be sure they repeat your order.. Everyone in there has been friendly. Great spot! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fried Fish Platter

The gentleman tall(Asian)with the bald head gave me excellent service today & he is very patient and pleasant with his customers ! ...and for as long as I have been coming here I have never had a bad or inconsistent meal ! ...they also offer ** no salt variations at no additional charge and for me it is just as good as their original recipe of fish/shrimp & sides Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
New owners. Third time. You can thank me later. Fish, shrimp, oysters: all fried too hard while french fries are too soft. Reverse that sequence. Add two bread slices instead of that hard almost stale dinner roll. Whose idea was that? The roll lacks authentically. Let's go back to the hard fried over seasoned salty seafood. Fried fish is never crunchy like potato chips. It's lightly battered. I'm positive I could use the fried seafood as a blunt object weapon. Make those changes and hopefully there won't be a declining sales and a 4th owner

Always topnotch food here! They are now under new management as they've been bought by the owners of Happy Fish on Manchester. As long as they don't change the recipe here, I will continue to patronize them as my Filet of Sole is always perfect!! Fish looks old, but the older people seem nice, the young girl in the evenings needs customer service training. She's not too friendly. This is a family owned business, and they don't seem to hire folks in the area. When they first started the neighborhood, employees showed them the ropes. Now their gone. The most tasty for me was the tartar sauce. Ordered the red snapper and jumbo shrimp - crunchy but a little tad salty. Otherwise, its a good value - includes fries and 2 hush puppies
Order a three piece and got cut down. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Never again. Big Fish is the place ✌🏾 Food: 1 Service: 1

***2023 UPDATE: I decided to give them another try, and they've gotten so much better with seasoning their food. (3 years ago) 2 star review: No seasoning on the fish. Food: 4 Service: 3
This spot is over rated. Back in the day they were fabulous but since the new owner I have yet to be satisfied. I know that everything cost more now days but they have raised the prices and give you less potions and the food is not the same. It's either over cooked or not enough. I paid 25.00 to 45.00 or more to feed a family of 3. I would like to says it's worth it but it's not. It's a hit and miss, most of the time its a miss. I will take my money elsewhere. Over cooked my Oysters to a crisp and couldn't find one that tastes good. The fish was over cooked and the smallest pieces I couldn't believe it. It's a No for me. No more.

I believe this place has got to be THE Best fish fry restaurant I've been too in Los Angeles to date. Absolutely delicious. Well worth the price and the flavors I'm still craving more of.i tried three previous times to get there before they closed and missed by minutes. Thank God I tried a fourth . Catfish, oysters and shrimp was out of this world
