Located on the outskirts of Kigali, genuinely enjoyed the drive to the place. Serene and breathtaking views of hills. Was keen on trying the local cuisine so we ordered brochette, matoke, roasted potatoes and cassava ugali which came with stew. For drinks, we had water and a quarter of vodka. Bill came to 17k rw. Which is quite steep for local food.
They don't offer any menu, you get to learn of pricing when the bill is brought. So have extra cash.
As for the food, the matoke was ok but not great. Roasted potatoes stole the show. Brochette was well roasted but for the cassava😑😬wasnt a fun, the texture is too sticky for my liking but it's always good to explore local cuisine.
Service was slow, the place is popular so waiting time is around 30min.
Where people from different corners of kigali and those travelling to this Eastern part are gathered for goat's brochettes. They are good at this

The meat barbecue is top-notch. Location is in a somewhat rural community, but the food draws a lot of people from kigali.

Matoke and Brochette
Although it's not a large palace, at least the service and food provided is fine. I liked the atmosphere there and they even got a parking lot.

Good place to pass by on your way past Nyamata. A must place to eat goat meat. Watch out for Sunday’s as it’s usually full and orders can take time. Helps to call in advance and order.
Very good food but some of the staff are skimpy and sketchy. They won't tell you the correct number to pay to if using mobile. They will use their own number. Please be careful. Otherwise a great place.
