We booked the room via booking engine which showed a row of brightly painted cottages facing onto the sea and the room description said ‘balcony’ and sea view. Upon arrival we were disappointed to be shown a small shabby looking cottage 3 rows back. The sea view was actually a glimpse between other cottages - check carefully what you’re booking- the front row have ac, if it says fan cottage it’s not on the front row.||||The cottage seemed clean enough for a Thai budget guest house - a bit shabby, could do with a lick of paint. There was a fridge bizarrely painted blue with the electrical cord cut off. The bathroom was ok with warmish water. The mosquito net had a few holes in but the bed was comfy. The owners speak some English and were mostly friendly. There are 3 dogs at the property and on our 2nd day another appeared- a young cross breed Labrador. The young man who works at the restaurant tied it on a short lead (standard walking lead) to a post outside our room at around 5pm. It was clearly distressed and circled the post, therefore tightening the lead until it couldn’t move and was in danger of choking. I told the young man but he didn’t seem too bothered, untied it then secured it again in the same way. The dog was still there at 11pm when we returned. At first I thought it was dead as it didn’t open its eyes or move when I touched it but it was breathing. It seemed unconscious and I wondered if it had been drugged. The dog had no water and no way of moving from its own faeces. At 6am there was a huge thunder storm and I looked out to see the dog shivering and soaked. I went and got it and put it on our balcony where it seemed terrified of the storm and shook and cried. It was very upsetting to witness. I eventually found a staff member and she took the dog. It was around the property later that morning but seemed subdued and nervous. I never saw it on the property after that and asked the young man where it was. He laughed and made a ‘joke’ about eating it so clearly felt no remorse about tying it for over 12 hours on a short lead with no food or water. I know different cultures have differing attitudes to animals but perhaps when running a hotel don’t be openly cruel in clear view of westerners! Not a place for animal lovers.

We booked a last minute stay at Kohchang 7 after a mix up with another booking (our fault) and we're so glad we did! It is in a lovely location. We had a waterfront bungalow with a very small patio area at the front and then there is a larger seating area along the bit in front of all the bungalows. The rooms are not huge but enough space and there is a fridge. Absolutely beautiful views from the seating area and the restaurant/bar and spectacular sunsets. There's not a beach but you can get down to swim in the sea either via the rocks or from a ladder in the bar. The people are super helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It's just a short walk up to the main road where there are loads more bars and restaurants and a few small shops. Throughly recommend Kohchang 7!

I went here just to eat, but the korean food was so good, and not too expensive. I came twice to enjoy korean barbecue and others specialties and was not disappointed. The sound of the ocean while you eat is a must. However, I would say that the waiter are not the most friendly and can be a little bit rude, but maybe it was just a bad day for them. i would recommend.

I came only for lunch, and it was so good! Amazing sea view, clean and great atmosphere, relaxed. Menu is compact and very informative. Service super nice. You can have a swim before, after or while your dinig. No sand. Will come back💕

Great food in a quite simple but beautiful place in its own way. The cabins with ac is located right next to the sea and needs a bit of renovation, but with that said, for the money it is a clean cabin with magical views of the ocean and well worth a stay! The Korean cusine is a bit different then the normal Thai food and was really nice! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ฿200–300 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Some great spot for korean bbq by the ocean! Very authentic and friendly vibes here. They are Koreans too with some cute dogs hanging out. Highly recommended!!

Quaint seaside property, watching the sunset here was unforgettable. The restaurant was great, medium price, amazing taste, great service and an even better view. Very comfortable and relaxed accommodation. The bed was big and soft. The staff are all really friendly and the view from the restaurant is stunning! The bungalow was clean and no bugs at all, and there are some very friendly dogs running around. Highly recommended. Meal type Breakfast Price per person ฿100–200
