Great local restaurant on the way to/from Nacpan beach and near Lio beach. It seems family-run, and they put extra effort to ensure everything is great. I had a mango juice and a chicken adobo, which was great. Would love to go back anytime! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person ₱600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Easily our favorite dinner in El Nido, even though it was sadly our last. I could tell as soon as we walked in and heard Tame Impala and Arlo Parks playing that we were in for a special meal. Erika is super welcoming and friendly, the setup of the dining area is eclectic and fun, and the food is homey and delicious. We had the chicken inasal (marinated and grilled paa, or leg), the ensaladang talong (roasted eggplant salad served in a coconut shell), and tusok-tusok (fish balls with yummy sauces). If you’re near Lio Beach, a stop at Kape ni Manang is a must. It’s also less than 10 minutes’ drive from El Nido’s town square. Highly recommend. Some locals recommended this place knowing I wasn't so pleased with the food I had in other places. I came here twice. I was welcomed very friendly and personal and got good service. They obviously have a lot a foreign customers and know what they expect. The ambient I would discribe as laid back with hippie vibes. It's phillipino food from Bacolod which is obviously a bit different to other regions. At my first visit I had a fish Sinigang which was nicely severed in a big bowl with the pre cooked fish and beans and tomatoes. The rich fish broth was added at the table into the bowl. I like this way of serving a soup. A simple dish with a great piece of fish that is not the usual served in this soup. Loved the taste and came back for the signature chicken which was nicely charred kn the grill. It was as good as a grilled chicken can be. As desert I had an avocado ice cream that was prepared with condensed milk and had a sweet creamy taste topped with cookie crumble. A very nice and different desert. If I could give Kape ni Manang more stars, I would. During my stay in El-Nido, I visited this place twice. It’s an incredibly homey place, and feels like you’re in the backyard of family or friends. Both times, the food was amazing, with generous portions. I would say I’ve had the best food in El-Nido here. More than that, Erika and Jet are incredibly lovely people who made my experience what is was. On my second visit, Erika greeted me immediately by name and asked me to sit with her to eat as I was travelling solo. I’ve learnt so much about them, their journey with their restaurants and can honestly say they are fantastic people. There are a lot of animals here, as Erika had adopted a lot of dogs and cats 🥹💖 Would recommend everyone visit this place even if it’s not super convenient for them. Moreso, if you are staying at Charlie’s El Nido or in the surrounding visit, then don’t miss this place!!!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Recommended dishes Chicken Inasal

Kape ni Manang was an unexpected find while traveling in El Nido, and turned out to be one of the best restaurants I've visited in many years. The proprieter, Miss Erica, has done a superb job in overall design of the resturant, the menu and has most importantly kept things simple. The ambience, her persona, combined with the wonderful flavors of her food, gives one the feeling of eating dinner (or breakfast) at a friend or family members house.....if they just happened to be a chef and a great interior designer. Our group sampled several entrees and drinks over the course of a couple of days, and I for once have absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect from the freshness, the presentation to the depth of flavors. One menu item that surprised me was the "Toastie". I was expecting a breakfast toaster sandwich on "Texas Toast", but what I received was MUCH MORE as I opened the intricate banana-leaf wrapped goodness inside. Instead she cleverly uses pancakes for the outside, fills them with breakfast goodness, then toasts everything in what looks to have been a Panini press. I will long for this menu until we return. We had a memorable meal at this charming homely restaurant just down the road from Charlie’s Hotel in El Nido (turn right on leaving the hotel, and the restaurant is 300m down the road on the left). With its wonderfully inviting setting adorned by an abundance of plants and illuminated by lanterns, the restaurant caught our eye from the roadside whilst riding by on our moped. From the moment we entered, we were given a warm welcome from Erika (the proprietor) who proceeded to treat us like guests in her home. Her passion for her food was obvious and shone through in the myriad of varied dishes we ordered bursting with unique flavours. We had the lechon kawali (crisp succulent fried pork), so dang (tangy and sour fish soup), crunchy stewed eggplant salad, and vermicelli noodles with pork and chicken balls, all washed down with a sweet and refreshing sour sop milky drink (one of their many specialties). Having been in the Philippines for a week, this was home cooked Filipino food at its best, confirmed by the many local regulars that were also dining there. A must go to if you are looking for the true tastes of the Philippines whilst in El Nido!

Unpretentious cafe serving the most authentic Filipino dishes I've ever tried. (Read: sinigang with Sampaloc). The place is well-loved by its regulars, locals and visitors alike. You definitely can't miss this when visiting El Nido.
