Really tasty vegan options - - perhaps one of the top three in Hiroshima for a tasty vegan dinner. They have a plant-based menu section. So fine!
We had okonomiyaki, eggplant, potatoes, and edamame plus drinks. I like that they let you put on as much sauce as you like.
The graffiti on the walls, boisterous atmosphere and warm and friendly staff really make it all a good experience.
If you're vegan and have just one night in Hiroshima, come here.
I want to go back to try the ice cream and eat everything again.

That was delicious! If you are vegan you must try it! Flavorful and great, made in front of your eyes. Vegan options are clearly indicated in the menu on a separate page. Chef is sweet man let us enter 30 min before closing time. Vegan roll was so good we ordered it twice, vanilla ice cream 🍨 was amazing too, with a strong vanilla bean taste. All the best luck to this place and definitely recommend to try vegan or not.

Googled my way to Jirokichi by chance and had a wonderful okonomiyaki dinner. The restaurant is at the 2nd floor. As the restaurant was full, the chef/owner was kind to agree to reserve a table for me to come back an hour later. We had the Jirokichi okonomiyaki and 2 eggplant and 1 asparagus side dishes. All were delicious. 10/10 😋

amazing hiroshima style okonomiyaki! we ate here on our first night in hiroshima, and were very excited to try the vegan okonomiyaki. i have been to hiroshima before and had plenty of vegan okonomiyaki, but this is one of the best options out there! we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table, but once we were inside the service was fast and friendly. we got two vegan okonomiyaki, one with spicy ramen and one with udon (which i have never had before!). both were delicious, and came with okonomiyaki sauce and vegan kewpie mayo. definitely worth the visit, and better than nagataya in my opinion as it has vegan mayo which nagataya does not (+ the wait is much less!).

My favorite meal of my recent trip to Japan. Heard that okonomiyaki in Hiroshima is delicious and did not expect to come across a vegan-friendly resaurant / verson. Really, really good and I can't wait to eat here again.
By the way, the owner is great at kendama. He saw us struggling and on his second try in the Jirokichi, 1-2-3.

Vegan options are very good ..try to get the seat infront of the chef.He is very sweet and polite,would love to go again.
I tried the vegan okonomiyaki(made of noodles,cabbage , vegan sauce)garlicky potatoes and foiled mushrooms all were great and made infront of you(also had a side dish of tofu with soya sauce that’s not in the menu).

Small first floor restaurant with a nice eclectic old school vibe. It’s unpretentious and welcoming. The chef was attentive and engaging. The restaurant is not plant based or vegan but the plant based menu options it had were well executed. I would definitely visit this establishment again.

Has a vegan menu, absolutely amazing food that they cook right in front of you. Was surprised they whipped out vegan sauces out the fridge & placed beside me if I wanted to add it in. Not much seating though so best to go solo or with 1-2 people

The food really is great. We waited a while to get in and almost left, but we're glad we waited it out. The drinks we had were great. For food, we did a mix of vegan and vegetarian options and loved all of them. We accidentally ordered something with pork, and they were nice enough to check that we didn't want any meat in our food. They then made what we ordered as a vegetarian dish. I would for sure go back if I was going to be here longer. For us, it was worth the wait.
It is a smoking restaurant which was the only negative thing I would have to say about the restaurant. Having said that, we sat in the back, and no one was smoking near us, so all we had were good food smells.
