I purchased some Rosen's Kaiser buns I needed for a Super bowl party. Didn't realize until I went to use them that the best by date was 2/6. I purchased on 2/10. Why is Jewel selling items that should have been removed from the shelf 4 days earlier?
This store keeps wow-ing me! I just started using the curbside pick up about a two months ago. I have been very happy with the quality of the groceries. This is especially important with the produce. The employees that put the groceries in the car are nice and respectful. **A message to those that park in the pick up area and are not picking up an order, stop it!**
NOW as of January of 2024 I have started using the Osco Pharmacy and those employees are so nice and I hear them with other customers and they are so patient. I am going to change all my prescriptions to this pharmacy.
I always find great deals on the app! And the ease of using drive up and go has changed my life. I just add my groceries to my cart in the app while I am cleaning out the fridge or getting requests from my family throughout the day, and don't have to keep a paper list.
Went to the self checkouts because the lines were way too long at the others. Only considered that because it was my first time using the jewel digital app . . . Went very well, had a couple of questions for the man overseeing the registers . . . Very helpful . . A great experience.
While in town, for a short trip, back in July, I came to this Jewel Osco store to pick up a few items for a birthday party.
I was not impressed with this store. The floor plan is extremely disorganized. The employees act as if they do not want to do their jobs. For instance, one on the floor acted as if I was inconveniencing him, by asking him a very direct question. At the checkout station, the cashier and the packager were socializing and paying very little attention to the customers. These types of employee behaviors I deem intolerable.
It is safe to say that this Jewel Osco store is easily one of the worst supermarkets that I have ever patronized. The only reason for me giving a two star rating is due to convenience in location, as this store was close to where I needed to be on that particular day. I travel to this area at least once per year. Moving forward, in future visits, I will most likely be taking my business elsewhere, as far as supermarkets are concerned.
If I could put negative 10 stars I would solely based on the pharmacy. I had a script called in by my doctor one that I’ve had many times normally filled at a different Osco, but they were out after the doctor called it in and I had confirmation the pharmacist calls me to say she won’t fill it until speaking to my provider and why I’m still on this therapy mind you I’m sick and it’s an antibiotic with a particular cough syrup that I’ve been using for a long time when I get sick only and it works well. She refused to fill it because of my other medications which I had the exact same script filled here last month with no issues. I used to be in pharmacy and the only pharmacists that deny filling a script are new ones who want to be a doctor, but didn’t want to put in the time. As a pharmacist I understand you look out for the well being of a patient, but if you look at a patients file and see they’ve had this before no issues there shouldn’t be one. The other reason I use this cough syrup with this antibiotic is because I get hives every so often unfortunately it’s the only antibiotic I’m not allergic too. The combo of the medicine in the syrup is a broad spectrum meaning it’s used for several different medical issues from allergies to bronchitis and onward the other is to reduce pain and settle any coughing. My advice to anyone needing certain medications that are a CII go to another Osco or Walgreens etc because this one the pharmacist Sylvie or Sylvia is not only short with you she acts as if doctors don’t know their patients and their medication routine. I’ve never had such an issue in my life. I hope this reaches a store director or district manager because their pharmacist needs to be checked for how she handles patients especially with medication that they’ve been on or used when sick and you can see that in the patients file. I won’t even give my business to shop at this Jewel Osco all because of the pharmacy alone. I’ll keep my business at my Osco or elsewhere.
It just happened that the cashier accused my children of stealing toys they had from home. She made me double check what those toys were and if i going to pay for them. very humiliating
My new favorite Jewel by work! Fast lines, very big, full Osco side and alcohol section with a pharmacy and a TCF bank with ATM. Always plenty of parking and carts and baskets. Large health and beauty section too!
Bought this Tortellini last weekend 08/22. And when we open today, it is all moldy even though the expiry date is not until 09/15. On the same day, we also bought salmon. Cooked it 2days later and its also rotten and we had to throw the whole thing. Too bad my husband throw the receipt. Bought it at 2501 W Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL…
