True neighborhood gem! I have been a patron of Viva Jalisco for many many years. The quality of their food has been consistent. With its extensive menu, consistent food quality, generous portion size, friendly servers, speedy service, reasonable prices, this is simply one of the best family style Mexican restaurants in the area. We went there on a Friday evening hoping that the drinks would be good. But, we have had better. The taco salad that I ordered was bland. My husband's quesdilla was ok. We usually take carryout meals for our kids. The waitress didn't understand that we wanted 2 carryout meals after eating there. She gave us a look. It felt like they didn't want Indian people in the restaurant. We didn't get a good vibe. I can't come back to eat in there. It was uncomfortable. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We came in for Margaritas and an appetizer. We had the La Deliciosa Margarita and the name speaks for itself. We also had the Chicken Taquitos appetizer it was delicious. A small but good restaurant for Mexican food in Bothell. The portions are decent, but prices appear to be on the higher side as well. The dining area is small so somewhat crowded feeling. Delicious food. Great service. Small restaurant but it is worth it. Our server Georgina was very helpful and the rest of the personnel was very attentive. Definitely recommend this place to families. The atmosphere is also very relaxing. My wife and I came to eat here on a weekend and it wasn’t that full. Will be coming back to try some other dishes from the menu. I had the pollo macha and my wife the super nachos. Everything was so good. Oh and the churros are yummy. They are filled with cajeta I guess?

This was our second visit to VJ. We adore the warmth, tough love, and service of the owners, and the lovely, attentive staff. The ambience is chill and relaxed if you go in for an early lunch. Food is always wholesome, fresh, and comes in huge portions. Proving the adage that the best things in life are free, they bring in hot chips, salsa, and a cabbage pico de gallo which we just cannot get enough of! I remember their dishes were more spicy and flavorful the last time we visited. This time they were slightly less seasoned, but that could be entirely because we didn't ask specifically for heat, or order spicy items. Online menu shows old prices. In-house prices are definitely higher. Expect to pay 25+ drinks extra per person for dinner. Very pleasant experience overall. We will definitely be back for more. We have been going here for years and I understand there is inflation,etc. however, we got a meat dish to go today and, after $26, the container was not even 1/4 filled with meat. There is maybe 23 pieces of chicken. I am not expecting filled to the brim but I used to have enough for small leftovers. We will not be returning ever again. We love our Mexican food. And I gotta say, Viva Jalisco is our favorite. We’ve dined in and ordered take out as well. Either way, their food is a level above. I appreciate the speed of their take out being ready for pickup - I’ve never had to wait. Portions are generous, which I love. Sometimes I eat it all, and sometimes I eat half and have the rest the next day. My favorite is their Super Nachos. My husband loves their combination meals. Oh - DELICIOUSNESS - This place seems like it won't be good because it is tucked into a strip mall. However, the service was amazing and the food was delicious. Their salsa was chunky and divine - their burritos were large and filling. Everything was fresh and served quickly. Even their chips were hot. Definitely recommended

This was my first time at this restaurant and I have to say the food was absolutely amazing!! The service was very very good and everyone was very welcoming and attentive. Portions are huge.
