What a really wonderful place. The two ladies working here were so kind to us and made our short time in Mombasa so memorable. We saw a bao board and have been so curious to learn the game because the boards have been in many shops in Kenya. The woman working here taught us and played with my husband - it was so cool! Anwyay, in addition to learning bao we enjoyed some delicious Swahili coffee and Kenyan chai. Both were perfectly spiced. And for some snacks we enjoyed the bhajia and the mahamri. Even though they were fried they were light and not oily. They were very delicious. The place is also beautifully decorated. We also spoke with the other lady (I'm so sorry that I have forgotten their names!!!) and learned that she was learning German. It was really fun to speak with her! Thank you for a wonderful time! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Jahazi Coffee House beautifully reflects the surrounding Swahili culture and dishes. Serving delicious coffees, teas, snacks, etc It's truly a charming coffee house in the heart of the Old Town Mombasa within 2 min walk to Fort Jesus. It's very cozy inside with a breathtaking ocean view. Very cool breezes. I had biryani and juice here, the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. Great food, great drinks, lovely atmosphere. We needed somewhere to cool off and have lunch, ordered iced tea, coffee, roasted vegetables, croquettes and chapati - would recommend all of them. The waitress was charming and made us feel very welcome. Clean toilet and hand washing facilities as well. Will come back as soon as we can! The set up is intimate and authentically Swahili. Set right in the heart of Old Town, and with a dope music selection playing in the background, you won't be in a hurry to leave. The menu has affordable meals. I had Swahili coffee and halwa. Highly recommended. Service Dine in Price per person KES 500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The spiced swaheli coffee here is amazing! Unlike anything else I've ever had. It's special. The ambience of Jahazi is beautiful and relaxed too and they have many delicious snack options for a small price. Absolute recommendation. Wish I could have this coffee every day! I had read the Google reviews and really wanted to come here. Alas when I arrived to my dismay it was closed for maintenance. After talking to the staff and they were so kind to accommodate me even though they were officially closed because they didn’t want me to leave Mombasa without having a proper Swahili meal. I don’t know if the food I got was an authentic meal since I’m not an expert but it was definitely delicious and the Swahili hospitality was certainly real to me! Thanks to the Jahazi crew for making my day! Food: 5 Service: 5
