Today I visited INDYA restaurant for biryani, I ordered the same, it was called INDYA special biryani. I was disappointed with the biryani it didn't even taste good(it was like bland fried rice with chilli powder), it was also like frozen food that was reheated and given with dry fried onion. I'm trying to find a good biryani in Gothenburg I still couldn't find the good one yet. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I moved recently to Gothenburg and was exploring Indian restaurants and found this near I live. I had dinner and ordered chicken bhuna and believe me, it was not even 1% near to chicken bhuna. They don’t have any authentic indian taste. Most of the reviews with 4 stars are from Europeans, so you can imagine and plan accordingly! REALLY nice place to have a dinner or meal. Food was incredibly tasty, different from or typical commercial flavours, with a nice quality in the ingredients. The price was also really nice. The waiter was really close, helped us to choice and gave us some cool conversation! One of the best indian food in Sweden. Good price too. Clean. Indian music in the background. The worker was friendly and welcoming in the beginning, but forgot us when his friend arrived. We had to wait very long time before being able to pay.

A huge disappointment after seeing the reviews online. Ordered from foodora, the naan was extremely rough, the lamb was not cooked well, tandoori was very very salty. Definitely not my authentic country taste 🙂

On our first night in Gothemburg, we just decided to go with the reviews that inspired us most, and we were happy to find out that Indya indeed is the restaurant it promised to be. A nice little place with not so much, but enough, seating room, at least in winter. The young man in charge was very helpful and actually encouraged us not to overorder, which we later felt thankful for, because portions are on the generous side anyway. Apart from the well-prepared, delicious dishes, it was great to have the chance to wash it all down with a Kingfisher beer. Definitely a pleasant experience. While I've never been to India, I've had Indian food in many many different countries. I had the classic butter chicken which at this place is what I've come to expect. The ambiance was so so, and the staff was friendly

Great food. Great service. Owner took it upon himself to deliver top service. Authentic taste. Great ingredients. Took an extra dish after finishing the main dishes, because it was that good. The Naan is probably the best in town, just as you would find on South Asia. Highly recommended.

We shared the yndia Thali mix and it was a great option to try different small dishes. However, the flavors were very similar between the dishes. It would be nice if they were slightly different. The fresh garlic naan was so good tho. We had to order more.
