You can visit this restaurant after seeing Parish Church of Jesus of Nazareth. If you have never come across Italian and Mediterranean cuisines, you should reserve a table and try the menu at Il Galeone. Here you will be offered nicely cooked sea bass, calamari and lobster ravioli. The unique characteristic of this place is serving good tiramisu, che and pancakes. Delicious chardonnay, limoncello or white wine are worth trying here. Come to this spot for great coffee or good lemonade. It's easy to find this restaurant due to the convenient location. A number of guests consider the staff terrific. If you want to experience fast service, you should go to Il Galeone. Prices are found affordable here. There is a cozy atmosphere and homey decor at this place. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.4.

Took my son and his family for dinner and to treat his mother-in-law. The food was exquisite, the service: top class and the environment: Romantic. I chose to return to this place after more than 35 years to find out that it was still run by the same person. Everything was exceptional as it was when I visited last with them my fiancée. Beautiful food, great service and lovely ambience. Authentic homemade local cuisine. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by the young lady who served us. Food was delicious- I had the Pollo Alla Milanese and my mum had the Pollo Al Limone. The tiramisu was probably the best I’ve ever had ( I don’t normally do dessert but the main was so good I felt I should! 🙃) Most of the other guests appeared to be locals which is always a good sign for me. We loved it. In fact we re booked for later in the week whilst still there! Highly recommended if you’re in Sliema/Tigne. I’m afraid these must be fake reviews to compete with the better restaurants nearby. Looking at other guests they also seemed quite unhappy here. I ordered a duck pate and the rabbit ravioli - duck pate tasted canned and came with white sliced bread that had the crust cut off and toasted - this was the first red flag. Entre came extremely late even when it was clear I was done, while guests who arrived after me got their food first (even before guests who came ahead of me?). Rabbit ravioli came recommended from the waiter but was almost inedible. Extremely thick gooey sauce, thick pasta that was doughy and chewy and thick on one side while the meat was on the other side. Rabbit itself had a bit of a grainy taste. Thick on thick with a weird sauce where the alcohol wasn’t cooked down enough. I tried to eat since I was hungry but couldn’t get through 2 pieces. I gave my feedback to the waiter who saw I didn’t eat my food and asked me. I was greeted with a “thank you for the feedback” but nothing else, not even a drink :) not that I needed that but it shows they don’t care much. Would not come back. UPDATE reply to owner: clearly from the response it shows no accountability nor care. That’s too bad. He even talks about “it depends on how much a guest spends” while I bought a starter, their “most popular” entre, and 2 drinks on a solo dinner - I guess you have to be a couple or spend an exuberant amount for them to treat you better. There are better restaurants on the street, the attitude of the owner clearly shows he can’t take critic. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €30–35 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Calm, chill atmosphere. The place is little bit on the fancier side than some others on the street. The pastas we had were great and the portions were amazing. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We ordered fried calamari and two kinds of pasta: vongole and squid ink 🦑 They offered to serve us an appetizer first then pastas. Which is normal in Italian restaurants, but we haven’t been asked in different restaurants so we appreciated it 😌 All the foods were delicious! And we liked the paper napkin which had a cute design and was sturdy. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very very delicious place ! We took prawns with avocado for starter, ravioli staffed with scallops and prawns and grilled octopus from daily specials. All 3 dishes tasted amazingly good ! Highly recommended place !

We visited on Monday evening and had a gourmet experience. We both had pasta dishes and they were perfectly cooked and presented. Staff were friendly, professional and attentive. We will probably visit again later this week. Highly recommended. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It is difficult to find excellent restaurants at the seafront in Sliema. Most restaurants are specialized in serving cheap food for hungry tourists. But there are some exceptions, and the Il Galeone is one of them. I had "Calamari Fritti" as a starter. The Calamari had been freshly made and tasted excellent. The menu stated it would be served with a "Sauce Tartare" but that turned out to be Crème fraîche with some parsley. That is ok, you can do that, but please state it on the menu (7/10). The main course was Spaghetti with langoustine, octopus and clamps. The pasta was a bit on the harder "al dente" side, but ok. The sauce was a tiny bit too spicy for me, but other people may like this. But the seafood was super fresh and delicious. (7/10). I chose a small bottle of Chablis, and it was excellent. Service was superb. Despite my personal disliking of the spicy pasta sauce, I would recommend the restaurant.
In the four days we had in Malta this was the best food. The pasta and fish main courses were really tasty. The fish especially is crispy skinned and oily. Not like mackerel which has a strong flavour, this is light and fresh. I could eat it every day.
