From the time we came into the door until they put our food in front of us, it was 1 hour and 13 minutes. Way too long. The server apologized 3 times, so they knew there was a problem, yet they didn't seem to know how to fix it, usually a management issue. 🙄 We went through 2 baskets of chips and salsa/bean bip once we got to the table while waiting for our food, and they let us run out! There were 4 of us, and we thought we would try them out. One of us thought the food was really good and she had the shrimp tacos. The rest of us were disappointed 😞. The food looked really good but didn't have much flavor. The taco salad didn't have much more than lettuce in it and was lacking in meat, which was almost non-existent. The red chili burrito didn't taste like red chili at all, and the green chili burrito didn't taste like green chili either. Sorry to say the best part of this meal was the chips and salsa. The bean dip was just plain refried beans, no added spices or cheese. I guess I just expected more... a lot more. In my opinion, the reason you go out for Mexican food is for the flavors that were not a part of this meal.. We may have forgotten how long it took for our food to come if the food had been good, but it wasn't. We spent around $80 with tip, and all but one of us had water. On our way home, we talked about our experience, and it was unanimous, we will not be returning to Garcias because we didn't feel like we got a very good return for our hard earned money and our time was NOT respected. Stopped by for a late lunch (3 adults and 2 kids) and we were blown away by the excellent customer service. Our waiter, Alex L. was amazing! He brought us plenty of beans, salsa and chips before our meal and even left a pitcher of water to ensure we wouldn't run out. The food was super tasty, portions were large and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and excellent customer service. If you are lucky enough to have Alex as your waiter, you will not be disappointed. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome experience. At 2 p.m. the place was quiet and a little slower which is what we were hoping for. The waiters/servers were great at their jobs and very friendly. I have spent more on fast food and did not get half what I got here. Portions were very sufficient and well made. I'll be going back more often. The service was good, and everyone was friendly. I ordered the Chile Relleno plate. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the flavor. The cheese was so thick and chewy. I ended up only eating the one. The rice had no flavor. Might just be my preferences or a bad night for them. I also heard the table near me complaining about the chicken tacos. In their defense, the restaurant fixed the issue with the tacos for that table, and I didn't complain about the Rellenos. The chips and salsa were good. Our waiter Jakob was fantastic. Service 5 stars. Cleanliness: They need to dust and vacuum The meal: TBH I have had better tasting food at Taco Bell. Lack of flavor, Poor presentation, the rice was dry and the beans were runny. Drinks: Pepsi products Adult beverages aren't made very strong. Conclusion: Good atmosphere, I would come here to watch football and sit at the bar. Other wise forget dinning here unless you don't like tastey food. I said what I said! The food was good but the service was kinda shabby the waitress forgot our chips when we asked for a refill, we asked for a sprite and she brought us ice water and when I asked where we pay at she came by and snapped at me and said she would take care of me and then continued to wait on other people while she left me standing there for about 15 minutes... We ordered the fajitas for two Valentine special. Pretty frustrated that the chicken came out less than hot and the steak was tough. The onions on both my enchilada and on the fajitas tasted old. You know that sour kind of flavor. What a miss. My son ordered the green chili verde and barely touched it. He added sour cream to it and didn’t help the flavor. I wished the server recognized that when most of the plates go back to the kitchen filled with uneaten food, after we say we’re done as he pre-busses, there’s a problem.
