My friend actually suggested we grab lunch here. I loved it so much, they have some of the freshest baked goods. Their smoothie shocked me, it tasted better than I thought it would 😅

Dissapointed about the service. I placed an order on the 17th of January 2024 around 8am to collect on the 18th of January 2024 at 15h30. I had asked on special instructions for the cake to be written. I was running late and ended up picking up the cake at 16h30, an hour later to my initial pick up time. As I arrived I greeted the ladies at the door who asked me what I wanted. I said I was there to pick up a cake. They just ignored me and stared at me. I stood at the door till another lady came from inside and said don't just stand at the door, come inside. I did so and repeated what I wanted. She then said what was my name. I told her and she started walking around looking for a cake. She couldn't find it. She asked me again if I had writting on it. I told her yes it had to have writting. She kept looking to no avail. She then asked me what kind of cake I had ordered I told her. She found one sitting in the display probably since morning. She then started to write on a piece of paper her own birthday note I said that is not what I requested for. Another lady came saying she must just give me the paper and pen to write what I wanted. I did and they wrote on the cake as though they were in kindergarten. I hated the writting but I was in such a rush I needed to get the cake to the birthday party. (I have posted a picture below) I expected better and good service. I will not be visiting or placing an order there again. They are not organised or know how to treat guests. Definitely coming back to try your lunch with a glass of vino! Free range chicken And that smell of fresh bread oh my..... 10 points for not smelling like another coffee food shop! Even though deli was busy - service didn't lack nor qualify of food! Simple quick meal yet tasty and fresh Ah! The coffee ☕️ another awesome bean.... just yummy 😋 Could shop at your bakery same time... well stocked Well priced And best ciabatta EVER!!!!!!! Absolutely 💯 deserved 5 stars 🌟

I bought a bar one chocolate cake 2-3 weeks ago - this was the last bar one cake available and it was still during the morning so I should have trusted my instinct and left it. I also should have taken the cake back but I really don't have time to drive back to a store to inform management of their problem with 1 cake. That said I was coincidentally at the centre a week later and informed the manager/owner of the problem and that the cake tasted off and had a strange pungent smell & this occurred within 1-2 days of buying it. Asked about the shelf life and why no use by date label is placed on the packaging & he shrugged it off as nothing and stated that their cakes are fresh and baked daily so there was absolutely no problem on their side. What is irritating now is seeing other customer's reviews over the same period & raising the very same issue so this manager/owner was either blatantly dishonest or ignorant about what was going on in his store + potentially jeopardising my family's health and well-being in the process. & Not a customer centric approach to dealing with a complaint nor in terms of identifying & improving on weaknesses within your business. I still bought a chocolate loaf cake to check and this one was fine. If you think your customer's palate is unsophisticated or that their level of competence is lacking...then you better rethink your approach or go on a retraining course on how to handle a complaint! There are plenty options and as an example SPAR "tops" you in quality (mind the pun), let alone price. I never post negative reviews as I believe it should never come to that. Excellent food, well priced and delicious. It is clear that the owner takes price in his business and customer satisfaction is his priority. The best coffee freezo n bruchetta in jhb. totally disappointed.... asked for grilled chicken... got old rotisserie chicken... hubby got bland pasta bolognaise... hardly any meat... used to support enthusiastically... did not appreciate the service... owner not there for complaints, manageress was totally compromised and not helpful... all we got was 'sorry'... table was cleaned as we sat down, not when previous customers left... Ordered an omelet with salad, was brought out but no cutlery, waited 10 minutes , no apologies , by then the omelet was cold as i was sitting outside on the deck. I hate having to ask! I will recommend that they send the servers on a course at a culinary school. I for one will never eat there again.

Great service and vibe. Manager checked-in while I was working. A waitress brought free baked samples for me to try. Very fast wi-fi. Great place to sit and work for a few hours. I bought a Happy Cake from Fournos woodmead for my daughter's birthday, however, they gave us a stale cake that had an unpleasant taste. I took it to them the following day and the manager/owner poked it , tasted it and then gave it back to us saying there's nothing wrong with the cake and there's nothing he could do about it. We bought the cake multiple times before in their store and it never tasted like that. I don't trust them anymore because they could give you a rotten cake and claim it was okay. The fact that he poked it with his hands, messed it up and gave it back to us says I can't trust their health standards. We would not continue eating that cake even if we wanted you, hence we had to throw it away. This spoiled my daughter's birthday experience.
