I really enjoy this place. After having to moved to Cambridge from Christchurch 5 months ago, this has become my local and I have met some great people here and have felt very welcome and at home, I haven't dined here yet, but have enjoyed some of the bar treats and they were yummy 😊😊 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Had an impromptu meal here. So far ahead of the times with iPad ordering complete with photos. I literally placed my drink order and it was there! Attractive venue and super helpful but not invasive staff. Wish this was our local! A country gem for simple, well priced and attractive food.

Cool place, good food, and great drinks. The bartender was a friendly young man. The place was almost empty when we arrived so we walked around and checked it out. Cool decor and a great patio. Clean bathrooms. Our only issue was that the lemonade wasn't lemonade. But whatever 10/10. Great place to grab a bite to eat it's a shame the gambling area is beside the dining part. 🍽 the food was fantastic and presented well, the burger paddy was slightly over done so wasn't jucey inside but was pleasant regardless. Decorated in hunting lodge style it's appealing to most men and you can even catch a smell of what seems like dried meats at some points. I'd give these guys a massive 19/20 over all. Went for a family meal on Monday of this week. Very disappointed. Starters were ok. My husband has lamb shank which was served in the smallest bowl, not sure how he was expected to navigate the meal and it wasn’t particularly nice either. I ordered seafood chowder and it certainly wasn’t a chowder! I was served a bowl of sloppy liquid which turned out to be the remaining sauce from the mussel starters we had with no seafood in it. I asked for it to be changed. Waited 15 minutes by which time rest of family had finished eating. This was marginally better than the first bowl as it was a chowder base but absolutely no seafood in it other than a pile of prawns. Very disappointed that they thought they could just serve up a bowl of sauce and get away with it. Overall, average service, poor food, no apology, long wait and not particularly cheap.
