The platter 2 is so big. The calamari is always tender, the hake is moist and the platter portions are boneless. We have never had a bad meal there. The young manager is wonderful. Absolutely disgusting sushi quality. My boyfriend and I went to Ballito over the weekend and wanted to take some sushi home so we ordered sushi for the value of R279 little to our knowledge did we know we would end up throwing all that food away. Rice was not fresh. The salmon was discoloured and had an off taste, as if it had been lying cut up outside for a while. Never in my life had i seen salmon sashimi that was a pale- pinkish orange colour. Its as if the restaurant didn't care about how the food tasted and the quality of the dish because it was a take away order. Even the oyster we purchased which were R25 each weren't cleaned properly and not up to standard. I wished I could have gotten a refund but i had already left the place. Vibrant, refreshing and quite a vibe! Had the opportunity to go there on open mic night, which was Thursday. Great artists with talent, brilliant set up and organizing. ❤️❤️

As usual an amazing place , well priced and fresh food . Staff is pleasant , and are always willing to help . The oysters are amazing as well as the freshly prepared calamari ( usually lemon butter sauce is good ) . Simple comfort food

Sadly this is a badly managed restaurant! I ordered a still water. Hake bites. Calamari. Tartar sauce. The payment was smooth. Sat down and requested my water, to be informed they only have sparkling water. So I compromised and accepted the sparkling water. The food took a reasonable amount of time, the amount of time in which they could have told me they did not have tartar sauce. But, in hind sight, was grateful that when I placed my order she actually checked if there was calamari. When requesting the tartar sauce they told me it was going to take 2 hours. Maybe everyone in the kitchen was practicing sauce making with their non dominant hand. But just like the still water I was not made aware. What's frustrating is this is the second time it has happened. This is clearly a problem with stock management and customer communication. They did refund my order, after my complaint making its way up the chain of command. Less time than it took to bring the sushi that my fiancée ordered, which was 50 minitues. I write this review as I watch one of the staff struggling with FOAMY beer on tap. I recommend changing the keg. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are one who enjoys culinary surprises and has a good amount of time to kill. FISH, I wish you all the best, but this was our last rendez-vous.

I have been to this restaurant many times and thoroughly enjoyed the meals amidst the lovely ambiance. Staff are also very polite and eager to serve. On Monday (family day), I ordered the snoek and chips for the first time. The fish was very salty, dry and overcooked which made it difficult to even flake. The establishment needs to bring this dish up to be on par with the rest of the their fine food
