We have visited this place previously 5 times and kottu was our favorite meal. We have taken different varieties of kottu from this place and all were in better quality and taste. Therefore we have recommended this place even to our friends as well. When we visit Ella we never missed to eat this Kottu from this place. But when we visited on 27th of August 2023 our ordered Prawns and Cheese vegetable kottu was not in good condition to eat. The freshness and quality of this place's kottu was not there today. There was a bad smell from the kottu and due to that we stopped halfway through eating. After that we informed this to served person and they didn't care our feedback as a serious one and one of the servant told us that the smell of cheese! That was the most irritated moment. Even though previous experiences of this place are very awesome I am not recommending this place now due to their behavior. Good food in great prices. One of the best mango lassi that we had in Sri Lanka. We tried rotti sweet and vegetable and also rice vegetable curry. Curries a bit too spicy but this is Sri Lankan style Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 1,000–1,500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Traditional cuisine with perfect service and fair prices. The whole place is really clean, special big up for the chef who always keep his kitchen clean 👍🏻. I liked the food so much, I’ve been there 2 times today.

I rarely write reviews but I feel like I need to put down a few words for this nice place. Food was great! But what impressed me most was the amazing staff. Unfortunately, I witnessed a very sad case where two old ladies behaved in such a despicable way towards the staff working at the restaurant I felt ashamed to be a western visiting this amazing country which is Sri Lanka. One of the old women ordered some fish and chips and as soon as she tasted the food she complained the fish was off and sent food back. I felt a bit worried as I had ordered fish myself but when I got my dish I was impressed how fresh and delicious it was. The old woman unashamedly when on to tell bad of the restaurant to all the people entering in. Also, they refused to pay for a beer already opened and didn’t want to pay for service charge. I mean… this are ridiculous low prices food that you must be mad to make such a scene. All the way through this depressing episode the staff behaved beyond polite and in a way respectful and professional way. I will definitely go back there. Hope that horrible old lady will read this review Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very tasty local food, caring service: I asked to do something to protect against mosquitoes and the place near my table was treated with a special spray, after which mosquitoes did not bother me anymore! Awesome cottu with shrimp, cheese and vegetables! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very very very good food. We were there two times and everything was really tasty. Preparing of food very quick and staff very kind. Huge choices in menu. I gave 5* but the only “bad” thing are toilets - there is definitely place to be better. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 1,500–2,000

Had meals in multiple places in Ella and this is one of the better ones. The service is quick. Their food is generally tasty and generally well priced. (we feel that we get decent value when dining here). I saw them using stock powder(and maybe we could request them not to). They have an open kitchen so we can see the food being prepared. Very good and fresh food, for very good prices. Big portions, and an efficient service. This might not be the place for a very special or romantic dinner, but it is definitely the place to go if you want to have a good meal. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
