Pecan chicken was a solid choice for the bikini clad. Pizza so solid it needs a fork. Chicken wings and steak sandwiches that leave you with the meat sweats. The Fin has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. Friendly supper club with lots of hometown charm. From seafood to steaks they have it all!!! The buffet is fantastic along with the traditional Wisconsin salad bar with all the favorites. The clam chowder is absolutely amazing and has been my favorite soup since I was a kid. The lower bar area leads out to the deck which has ample space for docking your boat if you come by water. The Fin always has great entertainment and provides different tastes for the clientele. The Fin is a year round must go spot for fine dining and some hometown charm. I recommend this place to anyone including families. The place is unique it is shaped like a steam boat. The wait staff was polite professional and friendly. They informed me that today has been extremely not busy. You could tell because all the hot food was kind of dried out. The flavor was good. The buffet is about 35 feet long and their desert section a other 20 feet. The restaurant area was clean and well maintained. They get boat traffic also.

Went for a boat ride and docked at the Fin and Feather. Ordered food and drinks at the bar, and sat outside to enjoy the view. Pictured is the Aaron's Special pizza. Chicken, spinach, tomatoes, bacon and mushrooms. It was delicious! Also got a combo basket of poppers,mushrooms, and mozzarella sticks. Plenty of food to share at reasonable prices. We docked our boat and went into the bar area. For more than 10 minutes, we were ignored at the table. The husband went to the bar to place a drink order, had a clear space to stand, but was still ignored for more than five minutes. We (party of 5) then decided to see if the dining area would have better service. We were seated right away. The server was nice, but with a large party and only two servers, we were very low priority. We ordered very simple food and expected it would have come faster than it did. Unfortunately it seemed, it was more important to clean tables than to watch for our food. There were no people waiting for tables. We are aware there had been a wedding party going on upstairs, but we feel if that party (or the birthday party) were going to slow things down, staff would be better prepared .... and as for the bar ignoring us, it did not appear to be affected by the parties at all. But if so, they needed to be better prepared as well. As for the food, it was good, nothing to rush back for. The outside atmosphere and being able to boat up and watch boats go by, well, it's nice, but when you already live on the lake, it's nothing special. We probably won't return. Had reservations and we sat for over an hour waiting for our food. Wasn't busy and the waitress had zero personality. My perch was cold and no flavor, tenderloin was good but under cooked. The food was good. The sign at the front said that rail drinks were $4, but that was only from 1pm to 3pm on certain days of the week(not stated on the sign). So rail drinks were $6.50 when we got there at 4pm. Seemed to be short on staff. The view of the river was nice. I like to take long, exploratory drives and I found this unique restaurant one day after going to the lake. I couldn't stay to eat there but was determined to go back and I did last night. I had the haddock which was perfectly cooked with minimal seasoning which is great for that fish; its own buttery flavor needs to come through and it very much did. My mom had the broasted chicken which was so good that she ate too much of it. I think it was worth the overly full tummy. We both had baked potatoes and they were fine. The herb bread we made sure to take home. I recommend picking some up before a holiday and warming it up for the dinner. I asked our server if people do that and she said that they do. I can see why; it's lovely. When Schreiner's in FDL closed, I thought I might never get another bowl of clam chowder as good but Fin's is just as good even though it's a different recipe. I liked it so much that I had more to cap off my meal. Our iced tea came in a carafe so that we could refill as needed. I would like to see more restaurants do that. All that we might need was on the table or at the salad bar for the most part but Lynda was prompt in bringing whatever we asked for that wasn't there. She was very accommodating overall and took care of several tables in the dining room easily. That's difficult to do but she's adept. Most of all I felt genuine friendliness and she appreciated my positive feedback. It was dark out but we could see the water. We were sat by a window and the deck was right outside. I always seek restaurants that are close by water. I can't have a view of the Pacific in this state but we do have lakes and rivers. I'll be back when it's warmer. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is excellent. I will probably try one of the burgers because they look like something a cut above most establishments' burgers, given the thick patties and what look to be buns baked in house with a nice egg wash for deep golden color. That made them look so appetizing that I almost regretted my fish. Almost. I cannot go on forever but I will say that I don't often find 7 or 8 different items I'd like to try on one menu and I do with Fin 'N' Feather. Mom had a hard time deciding, too. We were at the Fin and Feather on 10/5/23 for a banquet upstairs. The food was very good and the staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. Most importantly, we had a person in our party that had a gluten intolerance and the manager and the staff went out of their way to make sure he was taken care of. The Fin has many gluten free options and the food was great. Cant say enough about the service by management and the staff!
