À propos
This cafe and Queenstown Mall can be both really attractive for tourists. The cooks here prepare good Scones. The nice staff at Fedeli can demonstrate how much they value their customers. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. Prices at this place claim to be affordable.

Hip breakfast eatery with indoor and outdoor seating options. I only came with one other person but they could easily sit larger groups. The flat whites were excellent! My partner got the Bacon Butty which he said was amazing, and particularly enjoyed the tomato relish. My banana bread was very dry and I had to drink a lot of water to get it down. You can see in the photo how burnt the edges are! The sugar is covering even more of the burnt edges. I didn’t eat the edges but both pieces were incredibly dry. The chocolate spread. was really good and I used as much of that as I could but it couldn’t mask the dryness. I’m usually careful about reading reviews to make sure I don’t get something the place doesn’t really do well but all the reviews seemed to rave about the banana bread, so maybe it was an off day. Would definitely still recommend this place just maybe don’t get the banana bread! I’ve always only been to Urban Grind for my cheese scones whenever I’m in Wanaka until a friend suggested Federal Diner cos he thinks they make better coffee. Although I’m not a coffee drinker, I am a scone lover. Verdict? The coffee is good but not consistent apparently BUT the cheese scone is the best one I’ve had. The crust of slightly burnt cheese just tastes better with each bite. And it was so moist and moorish on the inside, it didn’t even need butter! Although tucked away in an alley, you still get some view of the mountains, even from the inside. Ooh, and it is table service. With a smile. Definitely friendlier than the former. A lovely place for lunch, have been before and would go again. Just couldn't get to 5• on this visit. Staff really great when had contact, just limited. Main of seared steak, appearance fantastic, steak tender. Unfortunately, for my taste, it was overpowered with balsamic to the point of using husbands chips to dlute. Difficult to taste beetroot n other subtle components and finish the dish. Great chips tho. Ginger slice desert yum, n coffee superb, some of best in town. Sorry guys, I have a good palate n love so much, strong flavours n spices included, needed to be honest here. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Food was very average for its price. Watch out for the $3 extra for scrambled eggs! Service was poor, and food took a long time. Probably best to not watch the staff as they cook and serve as it was not the most hygienic. Maybe it was an off day as it seems to be a popular joint but definitely wasn't worth the wait. Absolutely amazing banana bread. It’s enormous so sharing is recommended. Great hot chocolate, eggs on toast, and bacon butty too. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. We’ll be back for sure.

Great breakfast in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. I had the “social climber” and the eggs were cooked well and the ciabatta was fresh. The scone with cream and jam was simple but remarkably good. I’d recommend. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Nicely tucked in a corner, this place serves pretty yummy scones and egg benedict's! Kids' pasta n pizza were wiped out in a flash. Nice ambience with an efficient set of crew! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
This place left me disappointed. The coffee was bitter and the milk did not taste good. Atmosphere is cute and the staff were average service wise but definitely a pass

Yum yum. Have become a bacon butty fan since arriving in NZ. This one was very tasty with an egg added. Daughter loved her eggs Benedict. Plus we also had a buttery croissant, scone and fantastic lattes. At first we thought they had gone out of business but just keep walking down the alley and you'll find them. Worth the hunt!
