Alex is a bloody legend. The man made us single handedly the greatest hot cacao we have had in our entire lives. Also excellent coffee. We chatted for hours and it was so great to speak to somebody else who understands things in life and has their head screwed on! Oh and his home baked sourdough bread was ridiculously tasty. His dog is also brilliant. Don't miss this place if your in the area. Alex is one of the nicest people going. Cheers!

Alex and his wife are so welcoming and fun to talk to. We came in for a coffee and stayed almost two hours for more drinks/talks and some home made sourdough bread. Especially the special made hot chocolate was amazing. Best of my life I think. Thanks Alex and family and good luck with the business!

We thought we were going to a coffee shop cafe type of place but were very pleasantly surprised to spend a few hours learning about coffee and coffee tasting. Alex and his wife were very welcoming and generous with their time - highly recommend you visit their shop! We bought one each of the different types and some sourdough bread!

Probably the nicest place in Matagalpa to have an informative and really fun chat about Coffee, the world and all you could think about. The owner Alex is such a nice and also smart guy, so bring some time when you visit him. The coffee skills of this couple are amazing and as a special recommendation you should ask for the sourdough bread. 😉 So get there, grab some of his fantastic coffee and have a good time. It was a pleasure Alex ☺️

This is real nice place to buy local coffee and cacao. We could even try the different coffee's first before we bought them (btw really tasty), also he roasted the cacao fresh for us and we could even try some self made sour dough bread with cacao, which was delicious. We can really recommend this coffee shop, great coffee and people.

Best hot chocolate made from beans I ever tried in this world. The owner is so cheerful and kind. My husband got his coffee and was delighted. Left with good memories.

You've tried the rest, now try the best. Alejandro is passionate about his product and it's quality speaks for itself. Go for a visit and spend some time with Alex and Karla, they will let you sample the coffees and educate you (in English or Spanish) at the same time. You won't be disappointed.

Definitely one of the hidden coffee gems of Matagalpa!! It's a super small but cute store. Alex and his wife attended us very personally, giving us plenty of cups of both coffee and hot chocolate for degustation. We ended up spending more than half an hour, chatting with them and learning more about coffee and their concept. Alex experiments a lot with chocolate so make sure to ask about the different chocolate types they have.

Nice little café run by awesomely nice people who know what they're doing. Coffee is unique due to special fermentation. Will definitely order a big package once I'm back in Germany. A must-see when you're Matagalpa.
