Good, honest, local Panamanian food served in a cafeteria style setting. A full plate of food costs anywhere from $4-$8 depending on what you get. I ate there every night for a week and tried a different dish each night. My favourite was the hojaldres (fried bread)! So good! Great value for money! A local place where the food is served in a buffet and you get to choose a main dish, side dish and a salad for about 6 dollars. Everyday they have different meals and all are fresh and tasty.
Great spot for good local food. Be prepared to queue outside at lunch (always a good sign). The food was flavorful and there's a lot to choose from. Chicken on the bone was excellent. Beef tasted great as well, and although not as tender - as you might expect, it was in no way dry. Have paid a lot more for less, and plan on coming back.. they do takeaway too👌 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went there everyday for lunch, the meal is around $5-$6 if you order meat. Good value, many locals eat there. Very delicious Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is a Fonda, and as a result, it is local fare and may very well be the cheapest food in town. Nonetheless, the fact remains that I've still visited other Fondas in Panama with better food and better service at less expensive prices. Some parts of my breakfast were cold, some were flavourless, and I'm not sure anyone working behind the counter has heard of 'service with a smile.' If you just want cheap food, you can come here and probably leave satisfied, but you're getting exactly what you pay for. Don't expect excellent value. Very local cafeteria with delicious food. Fed all 3 of us for $12. At 7 PM the plantains were a little dry by the roast chicken was definitely not. The fried rice alone was worth the price of admission.

Great authentic local spot where the locals eat. Had the white rice and beans with some chicken. My wife had ropa vieja with some other type of rice. All the food was great. Reasonable prices. You won't be disappointed by eating here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Local diner, a go-to spot if you want to have a good meal. Always tasty, always a place that you consider to go to while choosing the dinning spot. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This Panamanian style cafeteria provides any weary traveller with a hearty meal at a cracking rate. Each of the meals below ranged from $5 - 8usd though it can be cheaper if you're looking for the basics of rice and meat/vegetables. Be mindful as the prices will vary depending on what extras you add to the meal. They have a couple of restaurants in Boquete and also offer take-away containers. Would recommend! - Tom
