I live in California , originally from Puerto Rico. Last time I was here it was 10 years ago. Came back for family matters , and the first thing I told myself, “I gotta go back to El Gatito and have me un vaso de carrucho” while I’m here. Very curious how it would be after so many years. It was amazing! Did Not skipped a beat. I had mofóngo relleno con camarones and was delightful. Puerto Rican food rule the world. Fried red snapper was delicious. Others liked the fried plantain balls, but I was not as much of a fan. Enjoyed the lobster empanada. Didn't like that the waiter told me tip had to be cash only when i paid with credot card. He's lucky I happen to have some on me. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Last July 23, 2022, my partner and I went to El Gatito. It was our first visit and they didn't disappointed us! I'm in rigorous diet that controls the amounts of protein that I need. I asked the waitress if I can share my plate with my partner in order to consume 3 onz. She kindly accepted. The food was excellent in tastes and amount. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was not that good and it was overpriced for the amount of food. I ordered to go white rice and red beans, fried pork, tostones de pana and a conch turnover (empanadilla). I paid $23 without any drink, just what I mentioned earlier. The rice and beans did not have any salt or flavor and were like kid size portion. The fried pork was extremely dry. The tostones de pana were good as well as the conch turnover. There were 3 people (2 guys and 1 lady) behind the bar and not one single time any of them smile to any client.
