This place has amazing food, great customer service and is a nice addition to the Gastonia area. Top tier in my opinion. If you’ve read my earlier review I told y’all I’d be back to review them and they are solid. I even like the way they have the inside set up (y’all know I eat in the car or at home if you follow me) it’s like it’d be a nice place to hang out and eat or take a date. Perfect balance and then you have the staff who are friendly and even help you order when they can tell you’re getting lost in variety of delicious food they have to offer. This place will be permanently on my Stop By When I’m In Town list. Thank you EJ’s for the great experience and delicious food. (Pics taken once I got home but believe me that plate was hot as can be when I first got it 😋🤗😁) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I may give them another try before leaving Charlotte because I enjoyed atmosphere and I’m assuming my meatloaf was dry because it was the end of the night. I didn’t or the sweeteness to the greens. My drink and customer service was great. I enjoyed the music while waiting Edit…… I returned not once, not twice but three times and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ll have to slow down now that I’m back in the city. I have a dress a I need to get into and if I keep eating here I’ll need more material. I thoroughly enjoyed the seared salmon and the strawberry cobbler!!! My Arnold Palmers were always the right mix. I sat for what seemed like hours with no interruptions or push for the next person to have a seat. Mrs. D is great with her customer service, she walks and talks and that to me is great customer service. I deleted my pictures but I have this before and after of my strawberry cobbler. Positive overall experience was great! Excited to see this type of business thriving and I pray they do well. Pros: our waiter was super friendly and felt like family, the food came fast and fresh We got the Flounder meal 17 and the Fried Chicken meal 16 and they both came with 2 sides and roll or cornbread. We are suckas for some good cornbread so you know that’s what we did! The chicken and the Fish were seasoned great so the flavor was awesome! Sides: we got Mac n Cheese (2 thumbs up), Potato Salad (killed it) Greens (killed it) Yams, I’d def have to pass on them. Tasted way too buttery and almost out of the can maybe, Aunty with the arm skin hanging definitely didn’t make those! Cornbread could’ve used like another tps of sugar and been served warm but still was good with the meal! I will say that for 17 I expected a grown up flounder…lol but I need to lose some weight anyway so I’m not gone cry about that…lol Atmosphere and Staff were good, we were there during mid day on a Saturday. Only other thing I would make note of is the wife took our baby to the RR to change her and the bathroom was not clean and the changing table had dried up baby poop (we hope) on it…lol

My husband and myself was finally able to try out EJs. We know the owner. The food was really good. We waited as there was no permanent host. They were really busy especially after church hours which is the day we went. The music was good but a little too loud for my liking. I would definitely return again. Oh and I saw chitterlings and Ox Tails on the menu. I meant to take a picture but I forgot. Please see receipt for what we had as our meal.

Visited today. Food was ok. Some things were kind of bland, some salty and some too sweet. Staff was accomadating. The wings nice texture and tasty. I will return. The owner saw that my boyfriend and I were having trouble eating with our toddler at the table. She immediately offered to bring him toys and played with him so we could eat our meals! The service was amazing and the food was even better. I definitely recommend dining here! The best experience we’ve had in awhile! I really like EJs. The food is really good. I'm a Mac and cheese snob. I tried there's, two thumbs up. I was only disappointed with the portion size of sides. They however give you a lot of meat. The staff is friendly but small so there is a bit of a wait, it's worth it though. E&J's most significant advantage comes from their atmosphere and customer service. The food was fantastic; it was well-prepared and delicious. I ordered the Salmon Patties with Yams and mac and cheese. Everything was hot and tasty. I will be returning soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.
