UPDATE: NEW OWNERSHIP. PRICES HAVE INCREASES. although meeting friends here is still nice it’s making it difficult to buy a cup of coffee. The senior discount has been removed. They charge a $1.00 if you just need a cup of water to drink with medication. Always use the app and points to get the best deal or don’t go if you have to pay full price. Old review: Food is always good. Service can be a little slow at times. They do get to know you if you come in often enough. Atmosphere is loud from the workers. I have to say I’ve never heard such a group of workers being so loud constantly. So if you want a place to relax with a nice cup of coffee pick another DD. Plus there is a 15 minute time limit on the seating. Which makes it hard to enjoy your coffee with friends for fear of getting thrown out due to time limitations. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

A week ago
I'm black male with 3 older white guys in line behind me, the cashier's a black male. Cashier takes minutes before taking my order. Makes my coffee and doesn't hand it to me or slide it to me. The cashier: "Aye uh your coffee's right there." Wow. I'm waiting on my breakfast empanada. Meanwhile, all white guys got served immediately with everything HANDED TO THEM WITH A SMILE from the same cashier. 15 mins go by, my breakfast empanada was already done and placed where I couldn't see it. The cashier: "Aye yo bruh, I THINK YOUR EMPANADA'S RIGHT THERE." SMH sad. Service: 1
food was fine but when i ordered i specified that i want a dozen chocolate glazed munchkins. when we got them we saw they were mixed, with only two of the ones i asked for. my mom politely said that we wanted only chocolate glazed. the lady at the window said “no you didnt, you didnt even say what type you wanted.” and then made a big fuss to her coworker saying “throw em out she touched them, she touched them.” we only touched the bag. so incredibly rude. this isnt the first time the workers have been rude here either. How are you beyond slow at like 7am? Getting stuck in a line for 10-15 minutes is ridiculous. And I'm gonna assume that the guy wearing the blue polo is a supervisor, to him, HELP YOUR TEAM OUT!! Take orders and help out ffs! Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Employee made this, showed other employee and said something, she shrugged her shoulders, then handed me this. I didn’t check until i got to work, but it’s clearly bad and even the smell is making me gag/sick. Ridiculous.

This store is horrible. At least once a week I am overcharged. This morning I was overcharged by $1.26. I even questioned the person at the drive-thru window and all I got was a blank stare. First I asked that prices went way up-all I heard was crickets; next, I checked my order and I told her it was wrong-again just crickets Yes, part of this is my responsibility but when it is happening once a week(at the least), the issue seems with the help. I will not be returning to this store again. There are enough DD's or private coffee shops for me to choose from in Milford, CT. Nasty attitude 3/6/2024 @ 1:06 pm at drive thru will never spend my money at establishment Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
I had the worst client experience at this place, I am beyond baffled! I made a quick stop through the drive up window to purchase a gift card since I had my two kids in the car. The associate who greeted me was polite and seemed fairly new. He asked me if I ordered a coffee and my answer was “no, just a gift card.” He then handed me the receipt and gift card and I noticed there was no gift card on the receipt but two irrelevant items instead. I told him he had mistakenly given me someone else’s receipt and he got someone else involved. At this point, the second associate proceeded to take out a few dollars out of his own wallet and handed them to me. I looked at him bewildered as I stretched my hand out to take the money. He then explained I had been mistakenly charged for a coffee. They had a third older person involved and I can only assume she was the manager and they needed help reprinting my receipt. I observed her revise the transaction on the screen and she then directed herself to me with the following words as she handed me my receipt: “Everything is one the receipt honey, they gave you three dollars because they charged you for a coffee, I can clearly tell because I can see and I can read.” All I could say was that I understood she may have new associates and I just wanted to make sure my gift card had been loaded and that there was no need to be rude especially when I was being understanding. She mocked me! Yes, mocked my words and before I was even done taking, she shut the window in my face! I could not believe what I was seeing/hearing, I’m at lost for words! Perhaps she had a rough day and holidays can be stressful for some people, however he demeanor is completely unacceptable! “First of all, how is the client at fault in all this? She spoke to me as if I was illiterate and I caused the issue! Perhaps if I was handed my actual receipt the first time around, I would’ve realized the gift card was actually loaded which was my ultimate goal.This person was extremely rude and disrespectful! I will also mention that while all this went on, she also expressed (in very unpleasant words) to one of the boys that they better not have a difference or they’ll pay out of pocket. After hearing that, I felt extremely sad for them so I wasn’t going to ask about the .53 cents they shorten me. Hire good honest people who will actually have a clue of what client experience is and not abuse clients or employees and be grateful for their jobs!

Dark roast coffee and Boston cream donut, as always good. However, entering this particular establishment was not friendly. Staff seemed bothered to take the one walk in order, at the time. Coffee was given to me spilling onto the counter from being overfilled. Sat down at a table where three flies were making it impossible to enjoy the donut. Try the drive thru, you may have better luck.
