Very clean, spacious shop and huge free parking lot. But I didn’t find there Tres Leches I looked for, and seems not much selection on bakery. But they have ice cream cooler. This guys should be careful about tips box, if they do not want have same experience as Swirl Cupcakes in Oakhurst.
Great tasting pastries at very reasonable prices. From sweet breads, to flan, to tres leches cake, this family-owned bakery has so many authentic Mexican desserts. I decided to try two, and both were amazing!
I’m going to start off by saying that I absolutely loved this place, until I stepped in there today 12/27/23 around 2pm, we were looking through the window, wondering if it was open “as usual” no one around, pulled the door and to my surprise it was open, out of no where I here “can I help you”, didn’t see anyone, walked closer to the counter , saying hello, finally I get to the counter, look over it and the , what appears to be a teenage girl sat there in the corner on her phone, never once looking up, I asked a question, she never answered, I proceeded to pick out pastries, bring them to the counter, she acted as if she was angry because I disturbed her, I think I’m going to shop elsewhere from now on. This place wasn’t anything different than what I’ve been to, I just tried to support them because they were near. Dry conchas, either very little icing or smash old looking icing on majority of big concha’s. Smaller ones looked much better but tasted the same. No cinnamon or star anise which are main ingredients I feel like. It was still better than nothing but I’d rather have o’dalys off north tryon. It’s a one and done for me.
Didn't buy anything. They only sell pastries and cakes. No fresh bread loaves which is what I was looking for

Most delicious sweet bread (mexican bread) around charlotte-belmont area, always fresh. Must try the cheese filled one (cheese taco)🤤🤤
I was very happy when I saw this bakery in the neighborhood. I hoped it had the type of cake I remember from my childhood in NY. I was not disappointed and glad they had so much more for me to explore. I love that these pastries are not overly sweet & sugary. The custards are thick and flavorful. Everything has the taste, look and texture of handmade treats, with ingredients a home baker would use. That simplicity appeals to my taste buds. The Tres Leches (?) cake with the pineapple & coconut filling and light and creamy melt in your mouth frosting/icing was so delicious and so far my favorite. It was what I remembered cake to be. If you like pastries that remind you of homemade and not overly sweet, with sugary frostings and filling, then you will want to try these. And the rolls are so light & fluffly soft but can hold the ingredients of a hearty sandwhich together.
This bakery saved me! Last minute I needed a cake for my son’s baby shower. I showed them a picture and they exceeded my expectations by far, and it was absolutely delicious! Reasonable prices. The staff is so attentive and very detailed. They delivered it and helped set it up so beautifully I would recommend this bakery to everyone!! 10/10
I went in this morning on a whim. I'm so glad that I did. There is a huge wall of pastries. Some of them were not familiar to me, but the ladies in the shop explained them all to me without hesitation. Their prices are great and they also have gorgeous/ delicious cakes! I went in for breakfast pastries for my son's birthday and came out with a tres leches mocha cake as well. All very reasonably priced. Please support this local bakery!!! What a gem!!!
This place is lovely. Please enjoy, don't criticize. I happened in here yesterday, and a grandmother and granddaughter came in, clearly American. The granddaughter understood that you come in and learn the culture difference. The Grandmother came in with all these "suggestions" and she was really insistent on her preferences. Like this business wasn't already a 2nd location, and they had been doing business for quite some time already. Like jeepers lady, just because they are a different culture doesn't mean they are dumb. Folks, if you can't come in and be polite to the business, please don't open the door. The young lady behind the counter was as accommodating as possible (and spoke proper English), but the grandmother was very vocal about cleanliness and so on. *The bakery clearly meets the sanitary standards of the state, they wouldn't be open if they weren't. Please be respectful of the vendors, no matter where you go. They don't have to serve rude guests.
