A true tasty spot in the historic centre, with generous portion size dishes cooked with passion. We got the coconut curry chicken - seasoned so flavourfully, as well as the Western beef burger, which came with a huge plate of fries. This is a hidden gem! We almost didn’t go into Don Jack’s as there was no one in there and didn’t look open at first but were so glad we turned back around and went in! Despite being the only one’s in there, we had a great time. We were greeted warmly and the food was amazing and fresh. We ordered the Western Burger and the Vegetarian Coconut Curry, very big portions, delicious & cheap. 100% recommend Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Tough to find but absolutely worth going! It’s a small place with just the owner as a cook (so no large groups without reservation) but he does an incredible job with his food. Everything is made totally fresh. It obviously might take a little while, but the wait is totally worth it. So take your time, you’ll be greeted warmly and be well taken care of. Highly recommended. Absolutely delicious food (the Coconut chicken curry was outstanding), portions are more than enough and the service is on point. The place is not super advertised from the street but look for it. It is there and it will make you happy. I am not one to go to a place twice very often when I am traveling. However the coconut curry here was so amazing, that I felt I had to go back for the burger, and was not disappointed. Some may not appreciate the owner, but he is a good guy who makes amazing food. If I come back to Leon this is my first stop. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When we got to Don Jack’s around 6:30pm, the front gate was closed and the lights were dim. We thought it was closed and were about to walk away. A lady at the counter saw us and pointed to the side gate. Both of us ordered the coconut curry with chicken. Don Jack cooked a slightly different curry for one, with black mustard seeds. They came with huge portion of rice, salad, naan and yoghurt. The lady went out to get us a litre of beer. We enjoyed our meals so much that we brought our friends back another night. He had to turn us away as he can’t serve group more than 5. He doesn’t want people to wait too long. Totally understandable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

After reading all the reviews about this place I became really curious to check it out. I visited twice and had two different burgers Western and California each time. Both are very good and top quality. It is one of the best burgers I have had, not only in Nicaragua but also all the Americas that i visited. If you compare it to the fancy burgers in the US for their prices, this place is close to perfect and had better quality than them. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The food is phenomenal. We ordered a chicken fillet and a coconut chicken curry. The food was made relatively quick, but that is probably because we were the only ones there. He prepares everything by himself, so it may take a little longer. Jack is a very friendly man that speaks multiple languages. When you come in, you won't be greeted by Jack unless you sit down and show interest. Or else he will just let you look around and at the menu without pressuring you to stay. This may seem as unwelcoming because that is normal in other places. Don't be fooled though, the place is amazing and I definitely recommend Jack's. The plates are huge for a very cheap price.
