First visit to the restaurant and it was such a pleasant experience! The staff were all friendly and most importantly the food portion were all so huge! We were a group of 4 and the serving was like for 6! Please come with hungry tummies and enjoy the fresh seafood with all your heart :) the staff at the cashier was also so friendly and funny! Thank you so much for this pleasant experience and we will return again when we next visit Desaru!

Chili Lobster
The best seafood restaurant with good quality produce and mastery in cooking we have had in Desaru.
Thanks to Google reviews I am glad to add mine to give this place the focus it needed.
1. This place is clean, hygienic and there are no flies compared to the other seafood places (and most of the resort restaurants we been to - Hard Rock and Westin)
2. The live seafood tanks are clean and well presented. The seafood quality is fresh, not fishy, mushy.
3. Friendly staff through the line from order taking to serving to cashier. It was such a delight.
We messaged them earlier to book for large group and asked if they can help make a soup dish with La La for us and they obliged.

Let’s dive into the food.
Fresh Oysters from Canada are fat and juicy. No need for the sauces to be honest - you can have it on its own.
The fish was a frozen one. (They were so honest) we can’t finish 1.5kg of Soon Hock so we opted for a smaller one which turned out just as good in garlic, ginger Cantonese style.
Furong Omelette was runny and tasty with red onions, mushrooms and it’s every child’s delight.
We also had 3 local lobsters that’s served steamed. It fresh and succulent, juicy and bouncy! The meat was so tender and sweet.
Our La La soup we asked for turned out to be light and flavourful with the right amount of stock. But I must say this is a different breed of La La - it’s supersized!
We didn’t fancy the Venison. Couldn’t quite pin down the taste as it alternate between smokiness and sweetness.
But on the whole, if you are here for a visit, I highly recommend this place for a hearty family dinner.
We also picked up some nice fish crackers.

Hotplate Beancurd
Delicious and fresh seafood, with live lobsters and crabs in tanks out front. The food was delicious and the chilli crab really succulent and the mantou bigger than those in Singapore. We had a whole snapper, chilli crab, seafood fried rice and seafood fried beehoon. They really don't skimp on the seafood and both the rice and noodles had plenty of seafood in it. Their kailan was super fresh and deliciously stir fried with garlic.

Ordered lala, yes very fresh but boil soup with too many pepper, spoilt ori taste. Boiled prawn not very fresh... Stir fried kailan ok. Hot plate black pepper ostrich so so only.
Is the food bad, NOT really. But with the price, Desaru Shi Wei Sin restaurant way more better.

We choose a live crab from their fish tank however when the food comes the crab meat is not fresh. Not shrink and not bouncy. Felt like frozen crab.
Other dishes is soso, nothing to impress. It’s a tourist trap. If you comes eat here don’t expect much.

It's about 15mins drive from desaru beach to this restaurant.. supper yummy, good environment and friendly staffs.. all in I would say you will never regret going here to have meals.. the seafood is so fresh.. potion is big and price is reasonable. Highly recommended ⛺️

The review was sucks! Those influencers are given free food for review FOR SURE! Was very disappointed with all the food we order. They are really NOTHING SPECIAL to us! We also ordered boiled lobsters which are very fishy and NOT FRESH AT ALL (the texture is like eating chewing gum), the vege was SUPER NOT TASTY (it is having uncook taste and very hard to bite), the crab is like frozen crab (No meat)! Very very very pricey too! The service is fine yet when giving feedback to the management (the one stand at the counter cum cashier), his face is like we owing him the money! Super unfriendly. Not even appreciating the given feedback! It is TOTALLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Superb service. 4 of us, we wanna order 2 crabs each 600g to 700g, but the supervisor said there is a 1kg odd bigger one. We wanted prawns and he recommend the medium portion as we had other dishes so might not be able to finish. This is the 2nd time I was here, the last time was 24th June 2023 and they did not disappoint me.
The price is very reasonable. Indoor aircon and outdoor available.

Great place for seafood. Reasonable price and great taste. Provides free shuttle service between Desaru hotels and restaurants. Can go to Secret Recipe or Chendol next door for desserts.
