If you have never tasted Argentine and New Zealand cuisines, you should reserve a table and try the menu at this restaurant. Taste good crispy squid, blue cod and fish & chips. Nothing can be better than trying tasty gelato. It might be good to enjoy delicious craft beer, draft beer or wine. A lot of visitors order great coffee. Del Mar is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. In accordance with the guests' opinions, democratic prices for nice food aren't about this place. Many people mention that the decor is terrific. The homey atmosphere makes a positive impression on customers. But this spot hasn't got a high rating from Google users.

The paella was absolutely incredible and by far the best paella I’ve ever eaten in my life. Under the rice there is king prawns, sole fillet, clams, mussels, calamari and salami. The different sauces were perfection and I appreciated the effort that was put into making this dish. Amazing! I loved it all. The in-house gelato really finished the meal off nicely. All the flavours worked really well together and it was all lovely and fresh. We had two of the new items on the menu. The fish taco had generous fish and flavors. The Pork Belly salad was absolutely wonderful treatment of the pork. Plus there is a wide variety of sorbets and gelato with excellent cappuccino for dessert. All that and attentive service and the best waterfront view. It was a very nice meal it just wasn't the meal we had ordered. And had to get 1 of our coffee's remade as that was wrong to. The manager was very good and tried to fix things up. The lunch we had was excellent, beautifully cooked food and really friendly attentive staff. It was a pretty pleasant experience altogether, and the restaurant's location is lovely. Also close by there is a Blue Penguin Colony place where you can go and see some penguins, sometimes even for free if they come past the gate! Restaurant is in a nice location. Menu is interesting, nice drink selection. For my visit, food service seemed slow to arrive, and staff seemed to miss things from our order (my drink didn't come until I queried it, and one dish ordered for my child didn't arrive, and when I found it on the bill, it was incorrectly recorded as an adult dish rather than the child dish). Do not order the paella. It was bland, mussels were gritty (ie not cleaned properly), it was missing the chorizo and paprika which the menu stated it would have, and basically didn't taste anything like any paella I've ever eaten. The decor and location are amazing but unfortunately the food was very disappointing and overpriced. Myself and a few others at our table got fish and chips, the portion and quality of the food did not match the $35 cost. One small piece of fish, small serve of chips and ‘salad’ which was a few leaves on the side. Everywhere else I’ve had fish and chips give a proper salad, and bigger serving of fish and chips for a cheaper price!
