Very tasty foods, already prepared and cooked, just choose and eat within seconds. There are fish, pork, chicken, seafood and other dishes to choose from, mostly in spicy sauce like curry but not very hot.
The meal automatically comes with a big plate of fresh and boiled vegetables, a small bowl of sour vegetable soup.
All those foods seen in these photos costed only K4000 (about US$2.50), there were fish, small chick peas (gabonzo beans) and stuffed eggplants, all in curry like sauce. Enough as a dinner to fill you up. Best food deal in southeast asia.
The place is humble and not designed to fool tourists, not even a 1 star level, not for people who can't take typical Myanmar standard, this is a traditional Myanmar food restaurant. The lady owner can understand some English and very happy to serve customers.
Here you get good quaity genuine Myanmar cuisine foods that are cheaper than a McDonald's meal. Perfect for very low budget travellers who need to fill up with meat protein.
Sit next to the road with a good sidewalk cafe like feel or sit inside. Experience normal Mawlamyine local lifestyle while tourists have not yet flock to this quiet enjoyable small Myanmar town.
Nice place for Myanmar curries, plenty of choices both meat and vegetarian, each comes with rice, soup, plate of vegetables and condiment. Vegetable dishes with everything at 1500 kyat. Dishes seem to be a fixed menu. Locals and foreigners as guests.
The best food I had in Mawlamyine. The hostel owner recommended the place, and I'm glad that I gave this place a visit. The food was freshly made and super delicious.
I paid 10k kyat, which is on the pricier side, but it was worth it.
Best restaurant of Myanmar food in the country! Food is so good... You can choose a lot of different little plates by showing them. The people are very friendly there :) We bought delicious curry directly from the the little restaurant. A must place for me!
Delicious curry meal and some of the best Burmese food we’ve had while in Myanmar! The ladies working were kind and helpful when we were deciding what we wanted to eat. And the open-air seating allowed us to interact with passers-by while we enjoyed a Myanmar lager. Would highly recommend!
Possibly the best food in Myanmar. Lonely Planet guide book was correct on this one. I thought the food was fresh and excellent. Definitely take the tapas approach and order lots of plates to try. We had a big meal with four people and paid 13,000 kyat.
Small Traditional Myanmar Food place
food price are overpriced and hygiene is not good.
if you do not like oily food or your blood cholesterol is high, don't go there. They used too much oil in curry.
Great local food at extremely reasonable prices. Only downside may be lack of stylish amenities, but if your looking for good local food hard to beat. Owner can speak some English which was also very helpful for us. And they have ice cold beer which was very welcome after a long walk.
