In all the times I've eaten at Cracker Barrel, this was the worst visit I've ever experienced. Tables were full of dirty dishes and never cleared or cleaned. A table was cleared for a party and never wiped down. The server was a 4-star server but acted like he didn't care and refused to clear the tables. No manager for the was seen anywhere. When the manager was called, she acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we disrupted her "work". If I could give no stars, I would. Very disappointed. We will not be back. We had an amazing experience. Great food at good prices. The staff was wonderful. They were so kind. The atmosphere was family friendly and the store was filled with wonderful items. We found some cute things for birthday presents. Thank you to the manager who made sure our visit was pleasant with a good dose of humor. Will definitely be going back. After ice skating the day after Christmas 2022, we called to make a reservation. The lady Sara on the phone said you have to go to their website to make a reservation and there was a 40 minute wait. Their website was messed up and it took multiples of us trying to finally get a reservation and on their website, it said there was only a 5 minute wait. We got there 20 minutes later, there was no wait in line-- however we did have to wait 45 minutes after ordering to get our food. The service was good, our waitress was friendly. I ordered the trout with Mac n cheese and fried apples. The trout was good and so were the apples. The Mac and Cheese was dry and rubbery. 1 of us got chicken and dumplings--at least half of that was left when we left and she didn't want to take the leftovers home. 1 person ordered a salad with chicken. Terrible honestly. They have really gone down as a company. The service is terrible. We have been to several locations and it usually ends the same. This last time we waited 1 hour to sit. We kept asking the hostess how long of a wait so we could make a good decision on staying or not. She would not give an answer. Right when we were ready to walk out they called our name to be seated. We walk in to see several tables available. There should have not been a wait. Then we quickly order to wait another 35 min and did not receive our food. We spoke with a manager at that time only to be met with defensiveness. Come on Cracker Barrel get your act together. You used to be a great company. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Wonderful country atmosphere. Unique shopping opportunity while you wait for your table, and do expect to wait. Food was delicious and portions are generous. Dumplings were luke warm and would have been better hot. Our waitress was kind, but not attentive, didn't fill drinks etc. If you have room, try the chocolate cake!!! Absolutely fabulous!! We stopped in here on a Saturday night and we were surprised at how busy it was. I got the chicken fried steak dinner and it was fair... to be kind. Okay...I domt know what's going on here. Last time I had a problem with my order, I got a four piece cod dinner and got only two pieces and a fish "nugget". It was clear to me that counting wasn't really important, that it seemed like two was "enough". So, they gave me a free meal voucher after I called them out. Fast forward to today. I ordered the two piece carfish dinner. This time, I recieved no huspuppies (which isn't that big of a deal to me) but for one of my sides, dumplins, not only was it a small amount, but it came with a surprise...two pieces of "meat". This tells me that quality control is non existent. It looked like sausage crumbles from the country gravy... I don't understand why prepping food is so difficult for the kitchen staff.
