I love this place bec they promote people to dance, even if a person has 3 left feet & they offer lessons! I sometimes feel intimidated bec everyone is so good on their feet! The professional couples that dance make it look awesome! They make you want to learn & they look so romantic! The food is what it is! They don't do fine dining & that's OK! The food is secondary for The Crab Tavern as it should be! This venue knows what works for them! My hats are off to them! The part to them focusing on the dancing, most songs they play are geared to folks wanting to dance & most of the time the floor always has people dancing! It's not like a regular club where the dance floor stays empty! Or worse yet, there are only females dancing by themselves! I'm not saying I don't understand why they do that! At a regular club, the females dance with each other bec the men are intimidated or don't know how to dance! Or they need a couple of drinks to loosen them up! I’m an out-of-state regular and always have a good experience, however, the management needs to add more than one barmaid on Sundays! The last six times I was there, they had a full house and one barmaid. This is unfair to the customers, barmaid, and reduce the owner(s)maximum cash flow. Service: 1

I showed up too early for food but they were kind enough to open the kitchen for me. I don’t get to come here often because I don’t live in the area so I really appreciated it! Love the food here!!! We visited on this evening to experience the group dancing the Philly Bop in a club known for just that. We started with some fried whiting, steak fries, collards, and a Beam and Ginger. All were delicious. Then came the best part and that is the dancing. By 10pm the place was packed with dancers and man can they dance! If you go here on Friday night, get there early!
