Mzuzu Coffee from Malawi is renowned for being a high-quality specialty coffee with a unique flavor profile. Grown in the northern region of Malawi specifically in the Mzuzu region this coffee is known for its superb taste and exceptional aroma. The Mzuzu Coffee Cooperative Union established in 2008 plays a crucial role in supporting local coffee farmers by providing them with technical assistance training and a fair price for their coffee beans. This cooperative model ensures that the farmers receive a sustainable income enabling them to invest in their farms and improve their livelihoods. The Mzuzu Coffee beans are predominantly Arabica which is favored for its superior flavor and lower caffeine content. The growing conditions in the Mzuzu region including the high altitude and volcanic soil contribute to the coffee's rich and complex flavor. At an elevation of over 1200 meters the cool climate and abundant rainfall create the ideal conditions for producing high-quality coffee. The flavor profile of Mzuzu Coffee is characterized by a combination of fruity floral and chocolate notes. The coffee has a medium to full body with a bright acidity that enhances its complexity. The unique terroir of the region coupled with the careful processing methods employed by the farmers results in a coffee that is highly sought after by coffee connoisseurs around the world. Mzuzu Coffee has gained recognition both locally and internationally for its commitment to sustainable farming practices and social responsibility. The cooperative works closely with the farmers to ensure they adhere to eco-friendly practices including organic farming methods and the conservation of water resources. The success of Mzuzu Coffee has not only benefited the farmers financially but has also positively impacted the local community. The cooperative has invested in various community-based projects such as building schools providing clean water and supporting women's empowerment initiatives. In recent years Mzuzu Coffee has gained popularity in the specialty coffee market with many coffee enthusiasts appreciating its unique flavor and supporting the sustainable farming practices it represents. As more people discover the exceptional taste of Mzuzu Coffee its reputation continues to grow further benefiting the farmers and the local community in Malawi. Excellent coffee. They charge too little. Nice people. Relaxed. Snacks: some, sometimes.

Cheap coffee and food, very comfortable desks with plentiful powerful outlets, and it's open till 8! Awesome place for co-working or waiting on the axa bus - never expected to find it in Mzuzu. Bathroom is gross and potentially dangerous.

Relative to other coffee shops in Africa this one is great! You pay 600 Kwatcha for either 500MB or 3 hours of usage, whichever comes first. The speed is great as well for here. Coffee plungers and Samosas are excellent. The gift shop inside has cool gifts as well.
I am revising my review to one star from three. Been waiting an hour and a half now for a cup of coffee. Had to ask three times for it to get it. They didn't give change. A guy got his breakfast well before we did, though he ordered the same thing a half hour later. When I pointed this out to the staff they denied it, though I watched it happen. Usually I really like this spot but I am not keen to come again.
Good coffee and friendly staff.
One of the best coffee shops around. Also check out the African art gift shop inside. Internet bundles are available.
Very decent cup of coffee
