À propos
After a walk around Tongariro Domain, many visitors stop by this steakhouse. Cobb & Co. offers its guests New Zealand cuisine. Make a change from your traditional meal and order nicely cooked rib steaks, shrimp cocktails and sirloins at this place. Most guests recommend trying tasty ice cream sundaes, doughnuts and Pavlova. Here you may have good draft beer, bitter or wine. In accordance with the visitors' opinions, waiters serve good coffee or good milkshakes. Children can select dishes from the kids' menu. The staff is said to be appealing here. Nice service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this spot. Many clients report that prices are average. As you can see, this steakhouse provides the terrific decor. The atmosphere of this place is cozy. But Cobb & Co. hasn't got a high rating from Google users.

Lovely place for dinner- family friendly atmosphere, but suitable for single person, or group. I was late in my dinning time and really appreciated being accommodated for a meal - The service was excellent and I didn't have to wait long. It was a lovely meal, though one of the dishes was entre, which I enjoyed, but felt it was a little expensive. Overall I was very happy with my main (well presented and yummy - fish with chips and yummy salad), an entre and a cold drink. Very nice meals, wanted dessert but couldn't fit anything else after main. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Chicken Alexandra
The gentleman who served us was wonderful, sorry I don't recall your name. We were not bothered by the "no liqour licence yet" But i do understand why some would be annoyed. Taupo Council you need to sort this out! Given what we ordered the food come out surprisingly fast! It was hot and definitely delicious. After our garlic bread and Main we couldn't really fit much more in. Withheld a star for no liquor license (though not your fault, still no alcoholic beverages available for dinners), the coffee was on the small side for us (slightly bigger than an expresso) and I noticed there were no names or explanations of the photographs, who are the koroua in the photos? Why are they there? Over all nice experience Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Roast
Walked in 45 minutes before the kitchen closed. Promptly ordered & received our meals quick smart. The food & service were both great. Thanks Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you to Peter and the team for the best birthday dinner ever and for making the birthday girl and her birthday feel so special. Perfect customer service from Richmond who was an awesome and friendly host and for bringing out a little birthday cake which made it even nore perfect !! The food was also great, tasted so yummy and the mushroom sauce was to die for. Even though we just booked on the night they took us in and they were still very accomodating to me and our group. Thank you again for the great night guys !!
We had a table of twelve for Sunday lunch, without booking ahead. We just walked in off the street. The staff seated us reasonably quickly, took our orders and got our food out at a good speed. They were friendly and helpful, providing a good effective service. The food was nice without being particularly flashy. The chips were warm, they would have been better hot. The decor was classic Cobb & Co; a bit dark and heavy with lots of interesting spaces inside. The outdoor area looked nice. There is a play area, with x-boxes and toys, for kids.
Great restaurant! Portion sizes were big, prices were decent. Wouldn’t call the food top quality, but perfectly acceptable for a cheaper family restaurant. My 3yo kid loved it. Traffic light was pretty much pure syrup, I could barely drink it, but the wee one liked it. We had some garlic bread, other starters and desserts which were all great. Both me and my wife had the schnitzel, which was okay, I probably wouldn’t get it again though - lots of better options.

Family diner with some extra thrown in. The wait staff did tell us that they are understaffed and tried their best to serve everyone as punctually as they could. Enjoyed the clam chowder and kahawai pie. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Seafood Chowder

A fantastic nolstegic trip to share with your friends, family, and children. The first familer thing that gets you is the dark wood booth decor. The next is the simple but all the favorites menu. Even the kids menu looked exciting in a nolstegic way. If you are into steaks, this is the place for you, but there are other exciting things on the menu. Even vegetarian and gluten free options. The staff are amazing, they are quick and efficient, and very helpful. Within 5 mins of ordering, the kids had their Cobb puffs and Traffic Light drinks, and within 10 mins they had their meal. The staff know kids don't like waiting. We waited a further 10 minutes and we were eating mains. Excellent work Everyone. The dinner was perfectly executed, including the medium rare 500g scotch fillet and the Chicken Alexandra was well cooked but not dry. The Sarah was an excellent accomplement to the steak, while the kids loved the iconic Traffic Lights. Deserts were again all very familer, but done to modern standards. The lemon tarts is very tangy and must have been freshly made as it was warm rather than usually ice cold. The Triple Chocolate Cheesecake with berry sauce was sublime. Overall it was a plesent evening, done to perfection, as it should be when you are restarting an Kiwi icon. This is indeed a way to ensure the next generation of kiwis get fond memories of going to Cobb n Co.
