Four Hungry 22 year olds stumble into this place after a night of drinking. We see the rotisserie chickens and are instantly put into a trance. We get two chickens and eat it on the hood of our rented fiat. The chicken is amazing. It was so juicy and flavorful. I will definitely return to this place if I am ever lucky enough to return to Portugal.

The grilled chicken (on charcoal) is always good and the staff is always very nice. We go there every month at least one time. Please be aware that it can easily get a waiting list so it’s recommended to get a reservation.

I’m told this is one of the best takeout grilled food places in the area. When I’ve been here, it’s always locals. I guess tourists don’t take out as much. The grilled chicken was the star: perfectly done and nice and charred in places. I got a soup which, beware, is given cold, so you have to heat it. A problem if you are in a hotel! The salad was pretty basic and it comes with no dressing at all. The fries should not be ordered, served, or eaten. They’re basically good for the compost pile. There are no utensils or napkins included. Definitely a meal for somebody who is going home. If you take out for a picnic, you will need utensils, ketchup, dressing and salt and pepper and a microwave. Not really very practical!
