A local attraction - Pacific County Historical Society and Museum, that is situated beside this bar, is a part of the authentic culture of this city. Nicely cooked fried oysters, burgers and chicken can make a good impression on you. Order the delicious draft beer or good wine offered here. Chester Tavern is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Low prices are something that should be said about this place. The cozy atmosphere gladdens people and attracts more clients. Based on the guests' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.4.

Nice local dive serving big, fresh oysters at a wonderful value. $12 for six oysters and fries is a steal! Very friendly service as well. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Deep Fried Oysters
It's a dive bar. Plain and simple. Has decent pub/tavern fare, drinks are strong & it's cash only. Very much local tavern/tourists looking to blend in. Love it.

Cash only. Great oysters! We drive out of our way to stop here to have lunch.
Might be the biggest and most delicious oysters I’ve ever had!! Definitely worth the stop!
When you see old school Pioneer speakers wired to electronic jukebox you know that you can't go wrong. Plus great food. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Deep Fried Oysters
Deep fried oysters were amazing. They make a good drink too Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Deep Fried Oysters
The worst fish and chips I ever bought and all you get is 2 small finger food pieces of fish with cheap fries for 16+ bucks per plate! On top of that it was inedible! If I would have looked at it before I paid I would have left it on the counter. The only people that can possibly eat and pay for this slop is locals, I feel sorry for them.

Old school tavern with cheap beer and cheap food. Stopped here for some oyster shooters and they were fantastic.
Unbearably slow service. Took 1.5 hours for 2x deep fried chips and oysters with only 2 other tables in (also small). Food is okay, generic deep fried frozen food, nothing green, but how it takes so long to cook genuinely boggles the mind. They blatantly prioritise locals which of course always makes you feel a bit unwelcome. Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Came in with 6 people for early lunch after clam digging. The lady working the bar seemed annoyed that we came in with so many people (even though the bar was almost completely empty, there was maybe two other people there) and told us "next time we should call ahead and let them know so they can have more people working." They were the only place open to eat/drink alcohol on Easter Sunday, perhaps they should have factored in for that. We ordered drinks and food, which were fine. Server was just not warm or patient with us at all, even though we were not demanding or pushy and we weren't there for more than an hour. Even when we left the bar still wasn't busy, maybe 6-8 other people at the bar.
