We tried this food truck spot out today and we’re overall pleased with our visit. Only about half of the carts were open around noon on a Tuesday. We tried sushi and tacos this time which were not bad. We also got jalapeño rolls from the Philly sandwich cart which I enjoyed and I recommend that item. Seating was adequate for today but they also weren’t busy. I can see how seating can become limited if they were busy, but it appeared as if they were still under construction and must adding more which would resolve that problem. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I think it’s great that they added a food truck spot like this in West Salem! It will be nice once all the food trucks are opened up more consistently.

I got French fries at one of the food trucks. They were amazing. There is a lot of options and the people that work in these trucks are super nice. I recommend coming here if you want to try food from different cultures. The wait time was okay but it depends on which truck you order from. Overall I do recommend this place to anyone that visits Salem. They now have a covered area to eat. Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 5

There is a decent variety of food trucks here. The building is finally completed and is open. Inside you can get beer or wine and there are plenty of tables to sit down with your food. I did notice one of the trucks is gone. It was one of my favorites. Maybe when the weather improves it will return. If that spot is empty, hopefully a food cart comes in that has a cuisine that is different from any of the trucks there now. I just like a little variety. A cluster of food carts at Wallace Rd NW and Riverbend NW. Including Mexican, Pasta, Sushi, Fish & Chips, Chicken Shack, Cheese Steaks, Turkish & Persian, Burgers & Fries, Boba tea, and a few others. All that we've tried was delicious. There is open air seating and inside seating also. Clean, well lighted, and secure. Absolutely worth checking out. You can't miss it driving by. Cool place to try a variety of different foods ,and there is indoor seating and a full service bar inside... definitely not disappointed. Busier on the weekends and not every food cart is open during the week. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The carver diner burger spot....stopped in on the way home for a quick burger. The fries were great, haven't tasted the burger but looks good. The customer service was terrible. The lady was really put out by putting my sauce on the side and having to put my burger and fries in a bag to go. She rolled her eyes and sighed twice during my 2 minute interaction with her. We won't be going back no matter how good the food is. In this economy customer service is everything and there are 8 other options with great service! It's my first time to go for dinner. I ordered Indian food briyani lamb and garlic naan. The owners were very friendly. However, I had to waited for 40 minutes to get my meal, and they messed up my order: I wanted mild but they made it very spicy. Therefore, I had to throw away 1/2 meal. The garlic naan was small, dried, and hard. It was not worth $3. The indoor environment was okay not that clean. We were looking for cleaning cloths to clean the table, but nothing we could find. We ate at Medes, the Persian/ Turkish cart. It was so freaking good! Best middle eastern in Salem. We got the beef wrap and the chicken plate. The chicken was incredibly tender and everything was so flavorful. The owner said that he just opened with a limited menu and will be expanding to a full menu in February. Can’t wait! Checkpoint 221 itself was also great. Good drinks, very clean, and good service. We will definitely come back. Checkpoint 221 is a great setup for a date night, group or family outing, or work function. There’s plenty of variety in the food offerings. They are all great and delicious. You have Mexican food, quesadilla grill, Thai food, Korean, Greek, and much more. The pricing is very good. The indoor seating isn’t open yet but once it’s open this place will be rocking. West Salem needed this. It's a great pod location with a bar being built. I'm excited to return and enjoy the variety of foods available here. At least a dozen or so food carts. My wife loves the Philly cheesesteaj cart. I personally like the cherry city wings cart the most.
