Incredible food and an absolutely charming experience. About a 5 to 7 minute drive from town, and it may seem like you're leaving the city but definitely worth the trip. If you love Mole sauces, you have to go here. Completely not like the usual Instagram Tulum restaurants, and Cetli gets a more mature crowd who have an understanding for good food. Nothing fake budget about it! The house that it's based in is also extremely charming and visual with some great art. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the highlights of our trip to Tulum! Delicious Mayan food in a relaxed environment with cool eclectic Mexican decor and artwork. Service was excellent , the waitress was very helpful and spoke excellent English. We went with 2 picky children who did not want anything on the menu , and they made grilled chicken for them which was not on the menu. Mole was amazing! This place is a work of love. Everything about it is special - the intimate ambiance, the warm service, the open kitchen, the breezy windows into the native garden, the locally sourced ingredients, the elegant presentation, and the delicate flavors they offer. We visited Cetli last weekend and even though it is a little out of the way but what an experience it was! We went a little early and it was just the two of us in the quaint restaurant. There was one host and one chef. Everything felt personal. We got an appetizer tray to get a feel for the food from the host. The drinks were PHENOMENAL. We ordered about 4 dishes for 2 people, each one was better than the other. So much better than any restaurant on the beach. We loved the vibe of the restaurant and the service was exceptional. The day we went they were only accepting cash but usually they do accept cards too. This was our second visit to Tulum and I am so happy we discovered this place. We will certainly be back.

Went as a couple on a weekday for an early dinner, In retrospect, it is now the highlight of our 5 days of vacationing in Tulum. It felt like visiting a friend's house and being lovingly attended and fed by a mother or grandma. Amazing heart-warming dishes, cooked from scratch with real ingredients, in nourishing combinations, with delicate decorative touches, each with understated but unforgettable aromas. My favorite was the House Specialty, Chile En Nogada. Its walnut/sherry/white sauce was to-die-for, as it beautifully balanced the stuffed poblano pepper!!! Wonderful ambience, some of the best service ever! The owner brought us a complimentary appetizer with several regional foods; all were delicious. Our main dishes were plated well and tasted fantastic and the dessert recommendation from the owner/server was amazing. He was also very kind and thoughtful. During dinner, someone’s car broke down in the parking lot and he went outside and helped her fix it and refused any payment. 10/10 recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The entire staff was great to us during our stay in Tulum. Both at breakfast and dinner, the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. Supporting this great staff was an amazing menu full of traditional yet gorgeously crafted plates. Several rich and deeply flavored moles accompanied serval of the options. Ambiance of the dining area and grounds are peaceful and serene. The kitchen is in the same room as you, filling the area with incredibly delicious aromas. Just NW of the main drag of Tulum up 109, it’s a lovely escape just outside of town.

Very high end, authentic restaurant. Extremely good mole sauces. I recommend the walnut and poblano dish (chile en nogado) and chicken with red peanut mole (ahuiac). Seems like this place is slept on, my friend and I agree it would be at least a michelin recommended if it were in Los Angeles!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
