I've been here on more than one occasion and I feel that the standard has dropped in terms of their food. The carpaccio was delicious. The rib eye was grilled to perfection but the 'fries' were mushy, didn't even have more than 5. The creme brulee was okay. The sugar was too thick and the blueberry sauce on top made the dessert too wet.
The service we received was fine, although slow. We ordered a bottle of wine and I swear our waitress was gone for a good 20 minutes. There were only 4 tables occupied throughout the evening.
They have a lovely deck area for sundowners, the view is not disappointing.
25.04.2018 We were looking for a spot to have after work drinks to bid farewell to a colleague leaving. Convenience was key so we decided on coming next door to our work. It has a lovely chilled setup and view.
Sadly due to the strike they were short staffed which resulted in extremely slow service. The drinks menu seems ok, i had a quick look at the food menu and it looks like the usual stuff. i sadly didnt try the drinks but discovered a new brand of Tea as since that was my poison for the evening. it tasted quite nice actually.
Will consider giving this place another try. It has potential;-)
The restaurant is good, if you dont want to live the hotel you ll have a nice dinner. Especially recommend meat
And they serve superb breakfast!

Loved the food there and wine. But the food took so long to arrive and the restaurant was pretty empty, 40mins wait.

Looking for an after work hangout spot on a Friday night? Then check out Central One! 😊 With no entrance fee, you get to enjoy a mix of old and new music alike from the resident DJs. The view from the top is something not to tire of because Sandton looks amazing at night. 🌃
Next time I am definitely going to give their food menu a go! 💪
Food wasn't bad but service was poor overall. Requesting a extra plate resulted in well over a five minute wait while the restaurant was basically empty. Disappointed to have asked for a bottle of table water (which is drinkable tap water) only to realize that it was local bottled water costing 48 Rand. Must need to be a local to know the correct phrase for the complimentary water. Unfortunately, it seems the staff, like the hotel, are mostly disinterested and know that most guests are stuck here as they don't want to venture out after dark in Johannesburg.
Lovely refuge from the hustle and bustle of Sandton.
The bar is part of the hotel and has an expansive sun deck several floors up. I enjoyed a burger and a beer with a colleague for lunch which were well made and tasty.
Absolutely terrible. When we went for dinner the restaurant was basically empty, we now know why. If you are hungry at night go to a gas station. The food will be better and cheaper.

Just left for my anniversary dinner. We were literally the only guests for 1hr 30min and our daughters food arrived after 2hours.1 rude chef on duty, new waiter who was lovely but clearly overwhelmed and still finding his feet. Iv been to this Radisson a few times but my word standards have dropped. Guests of the hotel visited and asked us on the way out will we be getting food tonight, after seeing the look on my face opted for uber eats. Another guest joined as we were walking out saying this is Sandton and theres one waiter, one chef wow. Food was AWFUL, TASTELESS, THAT TOOK HOURS. They had 8 meals on offer, no starters and they lied about certain components on their menu hand cut chips? I watched the lady take it from the freezer and fry it in what tasted like very old oil, chips were practically hard. Fresh summer veg, lol McCain stir fry veg rather. Received sauce for my overcooked steak which the chef sent a msg to say share it i mean really?! Steak was so overcooked and dry my daughter asked to go to McDonald's rather. The chef was sooo rude and cocky you would never believe she worked at what's suppose to be a reputable restaurant/hotel. She shouted and shut down the new waiter not caring we can see and hear everything. I will never ever return, the food is probably the worst iv eaten at a sit down restaurant, waiting time is shocking and chef is arrogant. Loads of amazing hotels in Sandton trust me future customer don't go to the Radisson! Thanks Radisson Blu for making my anniversary an awful food and service memory!
