Two very great tasting dishes. Food was very very great. Had the calamari fritti appetizer and it was superb! Place is more enjoyable for small groups of people but does have a bar. Does have one private booth you might want to reserve ahead of time if you want to be away from the bar noise. Overall small cozy and great place. If you love cheese and want to get stuffed the Tortellini Bolognes will get the job done! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! We will never return. I will attach a pic of my 13.00 dollar martini that I got. The picture is prior to taking a single sip. Ordered the grouper special and it was like a piece leather. My daughters drink and some rusty piece of something in it. They now add a surcharge without disclosure. Had to ask what the charge was. The food and staff were amazing. Try the Calamari Capri. It was so delicious. We also had the Eggplant Parmigiana and Vitello San Giuseppe and we were surprised at how amazing these dishes were. I can't believe we waited so long to go here. We will definitely be back. P.S. Katie, our server, was fantastic.

I truly recommend the steak, I’ve gone to Morton’s Streakhouse and the steak here is amazing, it’s as if you’re at a high end steakhouse. Great big portions for leftovers for later or next day for lunch. The pastas are amazing as well. Capri Sogno has been on my list for a long time, and today, I got to experience this amazing authentic Italian restaurant. I called about 20 minutes before my arrival, and the gentleman reserved a table for us even though he said they're pretty booked. The ambiance of the restaurant is Bistro style with a rich selection of menu and wine. Perfect for a date night. To start with, I ordered Cozze Alla Capri and Risotto. Both were exceptionally good. Steamed Mussels came in a delicious white sauce. For the entrée I had Agnello Oreganato. Lamb with Oregano and lemon sauce cooked the perfection. My spouse had the Chicken Parmesan ( Pollo Permigiana ) he liked it a lot. We had no room for dessert, but our waiter told us that they had fresh homemade cheesecake, so we couldn't resist. I don't know how one simple Cheesecake can get this good, but we have had the best cheesecake ever, so please don't skip the dessert part if you visit The Capri Sogno!! This is a corner restaurant located in downtown Plainfield. Very nice interior that gives a relaxing vibe. Service was above average with always having water glass filled. I believe the pasta is home made. I went with a sea food pasta with red sauce. The sea food was just right and not overcooked. Also tried the capri cocktail. Overall I would def recommend this place for a date night or special occasion. Price for meal was a little pricey but worth the it for the quality of food.

Wow! Delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. The service was outstanding along with our entrees. I highly recommend trying the calamari Capri appetizer. My wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana and I ordered the Vitello san Giuseppe which was phenomenal. We were pleased with our meal and our server Katie. We will be coming back for sure! Live right outside of Plainfield and have never had the pleasure to come in to Capri Sogno even though I drive by it daily! We were very happy to finally make a date out of it! Service is superb! We had a few drinks and the filet mignon! We didn’t get a picture because it looked and was delicious, tender and juicy! We had a couple martinis they were both refreshing and tasteful! We had the chocolate bunt cake and the butter cake they were both good in their own way! I would definitely come back and recommend you come if you’ve never had it!
