So let me start off by saying the food was really good. I had the sweet pulled pork and it was on point. It was my first time and the people were very nice and helpful. The inside was nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. BUTT FOR a burrito and small soda it was almost 20 bucks. REALLY!!??. It's fast food. I loved the food but that's a crazy price for a burrito no matter how good it is. I'm poor so that's a lot of money to me. 2.6.24: First time in and absolutely loved everything! The sweet pulled pork barbacoa was absolutely my fav and had such a great taste and flavor. I ordered a tostada with sweet barbacoa, my friend had a burrito with sweet barbacoa, and we shared an order of nachos with fire grilled chicken. Service was awesome and I loved the ambience as I was surprised to hear my music playing in the background. I can't wait to come back to try all the other tasty sounding things on the menu. I visited Spokane for the weekend and decided to try something different. Instead of opting for the nearby Chipotle, I chose Cafe Rio Fresh Mexican. I used the Drive Thru, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere or the indoor environment, but judging by the number of people going in, it must be okay. I ordered the Quesadilla with Chicken, which came with a generous side of sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo salsa. The entrée was nicely packaged and still hot when I got back to my hotel room. The chicken in the Quesadilla was deliciously seasoned, tasty, and moist. I was impressed. The tortilla was fresh and light. Although I didn't try anything else, I enjoyed my dinner. The entrée was a bit pricey, and I wondered if I could have done better elsewhere. Horrible. Every single time we’ve order through their online platform our orders have been wrong. We have a gluten and dairy allergy and our meal wasn’t what we asked for and contained ingredients that made it so we couldn’t eat after we drove all the way home from picking it up. On top of that, we got salads and they were all wrong AND had the lids with the dressing container holders on them WITHOUT dressing. All of them! I had to drive all the way back. The food may be good but they need to fix their online ordering system and be more aware of the food they have giving away for pick up. Sadly disappointed. Update: I went back to the store and the manager was expecting me and understanding. We got our dressings and remake of the allergy meal. I have a new follower since a few days ago, who seems to wanna reach out or maybe explore things. Im wondering if they are wanting information or to talk or what. This would be a good place to communicate and see whats going on, as its a safe very open place with lots of traffic, and good food. But theres others like it in the tacoma area that are just as good to go to im sure. If anyone has any recommendations they are more than able to reach out and comment on things. I've been a frequent patron of Café Rio Spokane WA since their opening a few years ago. The last couple years their product and service have gone down hill to say the least. In the past I typically went twice a month or more. The last few times it has been longer than 6 months and each time I remember why I stopped going. Their product is sloppy, poor presentation and very disappointing. Their staff couldn't care less about the food or their customers. My most recent experience they forgot part of my order for my take-out order. Nancy in customer service hung up on me when I called to get a refund. What's happening Cafe Rio? This location really needs to be looked at more by whom ever is in charge. The food is normally good, but the amount of times things are forgotten is ridiculous. The Tres Leches is $5, we paid for it (along with our other food of course) through the drive through tonight and didn’t get it. Nor a receipt. If I'm in the mood for a burrito or quick Mexican fix this is a great choice. Everything is made fresh and there are lots of options to build it just the way I like it. My order never seems to come out right at the drive thru so I always just go in, plus I like to pick from what looks fresh. It's pretty fast paced behind the counter and food gets thrown around so if you have food allergies or can't risk cross contamination then might not be the best choice.
