It's a nice vibe, but the food takes far too long to come out. It's ob a quiet stretch of the beach and there are sofas that are sheltered as well as a small book shelf. The guac has a curry taste which is different and interesting, the prawn tacos were nice too.

Café Pastiś is an amazing place to wind down and just enjoy some good music, the sound of the waves and the beautiful sunsets Sri Lanka has to offer.
The couple running the place, as well as the guys working there, are extremely welcoming and nice, making the stay more fun.
On this beach there aren't many beach bars/cafés to choose from - but I'd say the ambience is the best one at Café Pastiś. Coffee is also excellent since they have carefully selected beans and a good machine.
Prices are similar to other tourist places/places with excellent location, however the quality of everything I've ordered from food to drinks has not once disappointed (recommend their shrimp taco).
Good thing to know is that there is a beachfront bungalow with two apartments next to Café Pastiś that's also owned by the couple running the café. You can find it on AirBnb - no better way to wake up than looking out on the beach.
If you are in Tangalle on this beach, or looking to go - definitely visit this Café or stay at the Airbnb.

Great little cafe right on the beach, have a proper coffee machine with quality beans. The best coffee we found in SriLanka!
We had breakfast here and had the Fruity Tuity bowl and the Banana Pancakes 🥞, both of which were amazing. Prepared fresh so takes time.
A great spot to relax, read a book and get fresh delicious food. Not cheap but you pay for the quality and setting. Books to borrow for reading here.
Very friendly staff who keep the place very clean and ensure you are happy.

Finally!! After many days of classic srilankan filter coffee I was able to enjoy a flat white here. It tasted absolutely great! This is an urban style coffee right at the beach. A trained Barista serves you high quality specialty coffee. Made me happy!
