I visit Cafe El Palmar every time we're on the island. Locally roasted and family-owned = delicious coffee. I also appreciate the alternative milk options such as Oat or Soy. We chatted with Bruce each morning and he was always so gracious as we stumbled through our complicated coffee order. There are usually pastries available as well!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Café El Palmar, and I just had to share my experience because it was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat. The coffee they serve is exceptional, offering a rich and full-bodied taste that is a true testament to high-quality brewing. It's the kind of coffee that makes you want to savor every sip.
The interior of the café itself is another highlight. It's designed in such a way that you feel both impressed and instantly at home. The ambiance is welcoming, with a stylish yet cozy vibe that invites you to relax and enjoy your time there. It's clear that a lot of thought went into making the space as pleasant and inviting as possible.
Now, let's talk about the apple strudel. It was simply out of this world! So delicious, in fact, that after finishing our first order, we couldn't resist buying two more. It's rare to find a place that does both coffee and pastries so well, but Café El Palmar nails it. The strudel was the perfect combination of sweet and flaky, a true delight for the taste buds.
During our week-long search for quality coffee in Cancun and Playa del Carmen, we struggled to find anything that compared. It wasn't until we arrived on Isla Mujeres and discovered Café El Palmar that we finally found what we were looking for. It was a relief to find a café that offered both exceptional coffee and delicious treats, making our search well worth it.
In conclusion, Café El Palmar is a must-visit for anyone in the Isla Mujeres area. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or simply in the mood for a tasty snack, this café will not disappoint. The combination of delicious coffee, mouth-watering pastries, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes for a perfect café experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality coffee shop, and I can't wait to return.

I highly recommend Cafe El Palmar on Isla Mujeres! Very nice coffee shop serving coffee from Chiapas, Mexico. I've had wonderful pour over coffee, machiattos, and cappucinos here. The cafe is family run and serves coffee roasts grown in Chiapas on various family farms. They shared with me aspects of the cultivation, preparation, and roasting process. It makes you really appreciate the cup of coffee when you learn all the work, heart, and soul that goes into it. The beans are hand-picked and need to be carried on foot for some distance from a number of the fincas. They are very knowledgeable and friendly baristas who take pride in what they do. They really respect the coffee because they are growing it also. They also sell bags of coffee beans etc. I also like that they open early!

Bruce, the owner was a wonderful host. Their coffee is from their own family farm in Chiapis. Their croissants and other pastries were delicious! Dine in or to go. The rich coffee smell is intoxicating. A must visit on Isla!

Finally a real cappuccino!!!! This is a lovely little shop with REAL espresso drinks made properly. The folks working there were super friendly. After having two horrible “cappuccinos” elsewhere for twice the price, i was so happy to find this place. I saw someone sorting through the bags of coffee beans by hand to take out the bad ones. Lots of care goes into every cup here.
They also sell their coffee which makes an excellent souvenir or gift.

What a hidden gem! Excellent coffee, reasonable prices, desserts and unique hand crafted coffee mugs, too. O’ and organic!!! Bruno and Yamilie, the baristas maybe even the owners, where such a pleasure to meet. I ended up purchasing 5 mugs because they were so unique. I love this place!!!!

Absolutely delicious coffee. If you want to buy some organic, grown in Mexico coffee beans to take home it’s a must stop!
The hot coffee and cold frappes are absolutely delicious. The service was excellent too. This is my official preference for coffee on the island. We will be back to try some deserts next time, they looked wonderful.

This cozy coffeeshop is owed and operated by a Mexican family of growers from Chiapas. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable about coffee, but also the many brewing processes that they offer. Very warm and hospitable folks, not to mention incredibly good coffee.

Afternoon coffee break at Café El Palmar in the north of Isla Mujeres near my favorite secret beach. I had a delicious coffee brewed from coffee beans from Chiapas, México. I also had a pastel de elote which was very rich and decadent. Perfect accompaniment to my coffee. I also bought two bags of ground coffee to take home with me.
