Buns and batter is a lovely bistro located at king perekule street gra phase 2. Its entrance greets you with a lovely pastry section and branches off to a fine dining area. Its ambiance is welcoming with beautiful jazz music playing in the background and waiting polite staff. I was particularly impressed by the little alarm on my table that you can use to beckon a staff to come attend to you by pressing the call button.
The meal was tasteful and nice and my lemonade was superb. The only displeasure I had was when one of the staff asked me to not take pictures of the environment for my review in a not-so-appealing manner. The meal wait time could also improve and the prices are relatively fair although some may consider it to be a bit expensive but it isn’t highly expensive. Other than that it was a well-rounded altogether lovely experience, food, and ambiance.

I dare say one of the best restaurants in PH.
The service, food, ambience, pricing is perfect.
I am not a huge fan of the waffle and ice cream because the waffles melted too easily BUT I can’t fault their other meals.
It’s ALWAYS a hit every time I come here and their staff are always friendly and polite.

Here we go!!
So Buns and batter is a really beautiful restaurant located at the heart of the New GRA.
Cozy Environment, really beautiful interiors. I love the natural feeling the leafy inhouse plant brings.
It has like 3 sections, spacious but not for grand events.. just link ups, official meetings, book reviews (Met some group reviewing their book, really cool) etc. They played the "Happy birthday song" to a lil boy celebrating with his family.. we all sang along.. I love iT!!
They serve you bread(buns)with butter(batter) I think just before your meal arrives.. I think that's where the name came from.. Anyway.. it's just a basic bread and butter, nothing different.
For the meals.. it's quite Pricey, chicken and chips is as of today the 20th of june 2023, #4500 and it's just 3 pieces... drinks are expensive too.. they dont sell pack drinks like chivita but they have soft drinks like coke and fanta.
Parking space is a bit of a trouble cos it's not much, 6,7 cars and its filled... you have to park somewhere else.. maybe opposite, still enough space over there.
Ok.. if you read till this point, you love this review!!. Go ahead and like it.. byee
I'm giving a five star.
Ambience: Cool, calm, lovely songs.
Neatness: I didn't find any visible dirt. Fly control was excellent.
Customer service: Top notch, friendly, professional.
Timeliness: The time they said the food would take to get ready was the time it took. I know because I timed it.
Food: Now, this was everything I thought it would be.
Would I return? Would I recommend? Double yes!
Great meal! Great ambience! I went during the day so the place was pretty quiet which was kind of great for conversations. They tell you the wait time for your meal and they keep to it. They also serve buns as starters with this cream mix that melts in your tongue. I really enjoyed the time here. Even though the quietness was suitable for conversations, I would have preferred a light music in the background just to make the experience even more awesome.
First place I had brunch in PH and I loveeddddd it, it was giving Abuja vibes I won’t lie. The space reminded me of GBurgers and that’s my fav spot 😌.
The ambiance here is AMAZING, loved the fact that they have different area with different designs, it’s just really chill if you ask me. The ambiance I’d rate 10/10.
The food was really good too, I’m not the type to try new food so I ordered their chicken burger and my God! After that first bite! I was in heaven and I’m not hyping. The vanilla smoothie was good too, but I think it could be better tho.
I’d rate the burger a hard 10 and the smoothie a hard 8.
Overall, the place is a 10/10 and if you’re in Port Harcourt, you really need to visit this place.
And ohhh it’s affordable too, with a budget of 10k you’d definitely enjoy yourself.
Ten star according to my significant other!
Pretty decent place to relax have a belly filling meal! The service was top tier. The meals prepared were fantastic. The environment is very cool and has the right ambience with light music in the background. The music is not too loud, just right. No WiFi, so it encourages conversation. The drinks were sooooooo good! I'd give it a 10 myself! Gave us a rough estimate of when the order would be ready and delivered before time!
I highly recommend.
TLDR!!!
Menu: 9/10
Customer service: 10/10
Timely delivery: 10/10
Drinks: 10/10
PS:
These pictures don't do the space much justice!
The food was really nice.
I had pasta and peppered chicken and a side of samosa and spring rolls.
The drinks were made really well too.
I had a mojito and a frozen Chapman.
The ambience was also very calm.
The couches need to be refurbished though. I would have loved to seat in that space but the chairs didn't do it for me.
I had to move to the dinning seats area.
This had better table to chair height ratio.
Food was so good, I wished a serving was more, also...I almost went back the next day but changed my mind last minute. 😅
Entree: Suya chicken
Drinks: Snickers milkshake and Jamaican rum (mocktail)
The B&B Burger and Rasta Pasta
Those were our order and I can say, they were all great👍. This is my second visit to Buns & Batter and I always had a good experience. So far, their milkshake is my favorite🤤
