Nice location. Food is good but no better than the breakfasts you can get in other places. Service is ok too. The venison sausages are very strong flavor from the herbs used. Bacon is average. Avocado was below average and I had to cut black bits off of it. Give our server credit she comped the avocado without me having to say anything. The food is outstanding, so good as I had the venison and my friend had the fish. Had the potatoes as a side, it was a huge portion, actually all plates were a good portion. It took awhile to get the food and was so worth it Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Very nice restaurant. Very popular on a Friday night. Food was very good and service was also very good. One slight negative, because it is so popular it was also very noisy making it very hard to hear across the table. Fantastic food with a great view. The flat bread with black garlic was fragrant, and the pork belly was crispy and moist! The view looking out to the estuary was beautiful and we caught an amazing sunset. Seating available indoor or outdoor. Wish I had taken more photos! This place (just celebrated its first year) is as impressive as the reviews suggest. Excellent views of the mountains, estuary, and sunset. Staff are attentive and friendly - special mention to Ollie, our server. Food was also delicious. Possibly the best mussels I've ever had. And, to top it off, very reasonable pricing. Consistently amazing food, cocktails and service. We appreciate the generous portions and typically opt to sit outside where you get an unhindered view of the mountains in the horizon. Slow-cooked lamb shoulder and whole Tarakihi fish are a must-have, as well as the chips & aioli. Always save room for dessert because this is one of the few restaurants I've eaten at, the world over, where their desserts are not an afterthought but a highlight to a splendid meal. Glad we made our way here.. Beautiful venue. We didn't have much expectation but wow food was delicious, we especially enjoyed the pork skewers, melt in your mouth and perfect sauce to balance the flavour of the pork.
